No but seriously in my opinion this perk could do with a nerf. Survivors DC the second they see the Weave & Franklins combo, I can't say I blame them though. Franklins isn't the problem though let's be clear, it's Weave entirely. It makes it pointless bringing items & is free aura all game if survivors don't pick items back up. It's tedious having to move items around just to get rid of the massive range of aura as well, that's not much of a counter either. While Object is a hard counter, bringing one perk that's extremely risky just in case does not sound like a good idea.

It's allready being adressed in few months (confirmed in road map) and I am pretty sure they won't buff this perk since it's allready meta/popular.
I have to say this combo is pretty annoying to go againts and I tested this combo myself few matches and it's pretty effective.
…however, if Survivors didn't bring so offten pretty much 3-4 people loaded with items every match, this combo wouldn't be strong or popular at all. It's effective because survivors in a way allow it to be.
But of course, punishing people this much for just using items is like punishing killers who use any kind of add-ons with some penatly, which is stupid of course.

Survivor items are already limited charge and effectively the analogue to killer power.
If there were a perk combo for survivors where the answer was "just never use your killer power" I think that would be equally ridiculous.
Think about what you're actually saying here for two whole seconds.

Not quite. It reveals the aura of survivors who are within 8 meters of unopened chests for 3 seconds and allows survivors to open chests 50% faster. The killer can kick the chests closed but this aspect of the perk has a cooldown of 30 seconds.

I don’t think he was saying the combo is okay or that it’s reasonable to ask survivors to stop bringing items. I think he was pointing out that survivor items enable the combo, but he did go on to say that punishing survivors in this way for bringing items is absurd.

Killer power ≠ survivor item. Imagine killer finding killer power and addons in chests…
Also I pretty much said I agree with changing the perk and I am talking from view of both sides. Idk what is this "think for two sec" maybe you should be the one thinking.

3 seconds isn't different than permanent? That's not even mentioning the shorter range and much easier counter-play.

I don't know why we have to go through this song and dance every year with perk combos that give stupid value for little input. Not saying Weave+Franklin's is nearly as bad as CoB+Eruption in effect, but the combo is too effortless for the value. I'm of the opinion that Franklin's shouldn't even exist in its current form, but that's probably a different debate. I think being able to knock bloodpoints out of another player's hand is one of the dumbest things in all of DbD.

So it's OK for survivors smart enough to bring perks to punish killer is OK, but two perks for killer (not to mention Lightborn used to punish flashlight users) are not OK to bring in ? 🤔

Be happy Franklin's is in its current form.
Considering there were a time it was once had the effect that your item was completely devoured by the Entity once it was smacked out of your hand. Not just emptied of its charges

No. it is worse in every way. the big nerf is 3 second duration. Weave attunement is unlimited duration. I really really hope they only nerf radius of weave attunement and do not nerf the duration to 3 second from unlimited. please don't kill perk to 0.

Actually couple months, and the majority of the complaints were still geared towards how it bypasses wards

All it really needs is the ability to see the aura of dropped items when you're in the radius. 90% of the problem with the perk is that you don't know where your teammates dropped their items, if I could know where it is I'd pick up the items and move them myself.

Didnt know about the 3 seconds. My bad. Weave was mostly good incombination with Franklins. The new perk doesnt even require that, so I thought, thats its better with less effort.

Maybe we should apply this to all survivor perks as well…… Like i don't know… Lithe and all these exhaustion perks, Iron will, Light weight, Decisive strike, Iron will. Maybe all these perks should require you to cleanse a totem, open a chest or heal another survivor to trigger and not just be freebies.
