PC - Potential bug spot on Forgotten Ruins

I don't think the steps are necessary for this because of the screenshot, but essentially I was chasing a survivor on Vecna's map, Forgotten Ruins (in one of the corners of the map) and they seemed to intentionally run to this specific tile before they went down.
Every time I tried to pick him up, it started and immediately ended the animation as if I was collision bugged. I would've assumed it was a random occurrence but he wasn't moving from the spot or recovering because he was getting crows, which makes me think this could be some kind of exploit.
I was playing as Deathslinger.
