Reassurance needs to be able to reach basement from above.

I don't think that's going to be a popular opinion considering they just increased the amount of time survivors can be on hook…

I'm all for it because it only will be useful if someone is being a bot just camping the basement watching the stairs instead of playing the game I'm all for discouraging those players in anyway possible

I made a post like this before, because this would really be helpful. Some people might argue that with anti-facecamp this is not as necessary. However, there are some maps (like Gideon) where getting to a basement is pretty hard, because it's basically 1 way to come from, and the killer can just camp at the corner where he sees both entrances. So yeah, reassurance reaching basement would be really welcomed from me.

Yeah I wouldn't mind it personally and I remember the first time I figured out it couldn't reach into basement being a devastating affair. I do think Reassurance is in a really strong spot already, especially with the extra time added this patch, so making it even stronger would be an odd decision.

it's pointless because you can't reassure and get out without killer downing you anyway so there is no other option than trading in such scenarios. it's an anticamp perk that doesn't work on basement hooks, kinda funny.

Yeah, exactly. Making changes so that basement proxy-camping is discouraged would be so healthy for the game. If DBD survivors lobbies were all well-trained SWFs, then basement camping would probably be okay, because it would a challenge that such strong SWFs would regularly be able to overcome. However, since most of the lobbies are solo Q, and not everyone is higly skilled, we do need protection against this. I'd much rather killer go for chases away from the hook, and get a 4K, than get a cheap 4K because they took advantage of a poor system.
