Basekit endurance has *problems*

It was a great addition to the game, but it does suffer from a few problems that should be addressed:

  1. Survivors use it aggresively to bodyblock for the unhooker, putting the killer in an unfavorable spot. My solution would be make the unhooked survivor lose collision with the killer for the duration of the basekit endurance
  2. Killer can bodyblock the freshly unhooked survivor and wait out the basekit endurance, without the survivor making it to a pallet of a window. Same solution as above, losing collision for the small duration.
  3. Killers hitting the unhooked survivor right away triggers deep wound on the survivor, rendering Off the Record and Dead Hard useless. Protection is immediately gone, and the perks are useless. This needs a bigger solution, and I think that rendering the survivor invulnerable for the basekit endurance duration (instead of the endurance) would be the solution. Like with the Mettle of Man. You get hit, but don't lose a health state, and don't get inflicted with Deep Wound. This would ensure that Off the Record and Dead Hard have a chance to be used. You might think that this would cause harm to the killer, but the killer has a chance to go for the unhooker. Or you know, if there are multiple people in the match, go away from the hook and pressure some gens.

Survivors bodyblocking is sometimes the correct play and part of their agency. The killer chasing the freshly unhooked survivor is sometimes necessary to secure a win.

Not huge on dumbing down the game and removing options from players.

There are a few problems in this, First is that bHVR want to keep things simple and have clumped together an ingame playstyle mechanic and an ingame griefing prevention mechanic and well also a Killer Power, but this isnt about you Legion. So what does this mean, it means its hella hard for them to balance those things when we have painpoints with them because its confusing to players if they did.

So, yes the basekit-unhook-endurance being used to save a hit is certainly annoying, even when the Killer isnt trying to tunnel, the basekit-unhook-endurance still makes you miss out. So to fix this, bHVR would have to rename the endurance you get in the basekit-unhook-endurance situation and then simply remove the changes the rules of the effect so it cant be used to grief the Killer when hes not trying to tunnel. An example would be, you can keep the endurance effect as normal for the first 3 seconds, but if you use the effect to take a protection hit for your team-mate its effect is instantly removed and you go down for taking a hit.
We then have to rename this effect and mechanic, I think calling it 'Unhook Grace' is probably the best idea.

This would be very fair to Killers who dont tunnel and remove the paintpoints that I usually have with them system.
