Idea for anti team slug /hook suicide
I get that there is probably a thousand of these burried in the forums as noone likes having their whole team slugged or people suiciding on the first down ruining the game for everyone else. But ill just post it anyway for people to talk about. Lots of people go with the idea of basekit unbreakable, but that can be abused and noone would ever pick eachother up anymore. There are perks in the game however that detect how many people are standing / how many people are left alive / how many people are injured etc. They could easily come up with something that detects if everyone is down /carried/on hook. So why not a form of basekit unbreakable that ONLY works when EVERYONE is slugged/on hook/being carried, and once 1 person stands up it turns off the unbreakable and allows that person to pick others up, if that person goes down someone else can stand up etc. This would eliminate slugging the whole team to win like the knockout exploit. But not be abusable because it only kicks in if the killer is not hooking people like they are supposed to. This would also remove slugging the last 2 survivors to prevent the entire hatch game mechanic. But hear me out. If they also remove being able to unalive on hook, say only 1hook escape attempt and it only removes a little of your timer, and the skillchecks on 2nd hook only slow down the death timer a bit , if u miss them nothing happens. This would allow the killer to hook the 2nd last survivor and have plenty of time to search for the last man standing, down and hook them. It would also slightly improve the health of the game as someone suiciding on hook at the start of the round is much worse than a dc now, and it doesnt matter if they spend the rest of the round sandbagging to make up for the fact that they just want to die, it atleast wastes some of the killers time. The fact that it requires the whole team to be slugged also makes slugging atleast 1 or 2 people for the sake of pressure still possible. To be clear - survivors can still die from the hook timer, just not be able to ensure they die quickly by their own hand, and anticamp remains the same
