Is there a way we can let dead survivors spectate the killer without raising an SWF problem?
I would really like to be able to spectate a good killer's gameplay to learn more about the game. But I realize this raises concerns that the survivor will spy on the killer and report his every movement on the SWF Comm. What is a way to fix this, other than recommending I log on to some Killer's Twitch feed?
I would very much like the ability to watch the killer who killed me after I die.

It'd have to be on a timed delay like 5-10 seconds or so and perks would have to be hidden as well and if they could do it like League replays does it.

There would have be:
Delay
Survivor view (no aura reading for gens etc)0 -
No. Unless once dedicated servers are out then we can talk about downloadable demos that can be seen from any angle.
Like CSGO has for example.
Would also be nice for catching cheaters.3 -
No. It'll be exploited, in one way or another.

To download demo it would be nice for learning and check my mistakes, like in csgo you can learn from your mistakes watching demo.

Replay after the game is over via dedicated server save is one thing... watching a killers gameplay that you were a part of while it is happening is a big no IMHO.

it be cool but it would get exploited but i be all for replay after game over.

Delay sounds good. I don't need to see it in real time. The important thing is I can review it so I learn the style and technique the killer used to kill me.
I hope a replay gets implemented once we have Dedicated Servers. Being able to see how he caught me is even better.

No, there is not.

In a perfect world where no exploits would be used for an advantage, yeah sure. Unfortunately, knowing this community it would be more hassle than what it is worth. Want to see a good Killers gameplay, head over to Twitch and Youtube.

As a killer, I'd rather my opponents not be able to watch me. Even as a survivor, i would rather be able to block spectators.
go watch gameplay on youtube. I'm not interested in being watched.
it would just increase hatemail. I have no issue with playing with my survivors or letting an entertaining survivor live. Spectator view would just annoy the survivors who i killed indiscriminantly1 -
Yee... Its too bad for some reason the Devs weren't forward thinking enough to discern which survivors in a lobby are SWF or not. Which looking from a programmer perspective is completely weird why this would be an issue not to figure out, since the SWF is hosting the other SWF players when joining it. So it isn't that they don't know they are SWF, but someone thought it wasn't important enough to actually flag it in some data structure internally in DBD.
Cause if it was people hacking the memory to see if there was SWF or not... Someone using MLGA can easily tell simply by the number of IPs shown. So I don't understand what mentality was used when thinking knowing who is SWF in the lobby or not wasn't important.
Would be nice as a solo player to see the perks the killer has, to know if your guessing on certain perks used in the match was valid or not. Def gonna make it harder for newer players playing solo for sure.

Yeah. It should be limited to only solo queue tho0

I don't think it would be possible to do this without making it possible for SWF to exploit it.

Honestly, your best bet is watching people play killer on Twitch or YouTube. Trying to do this would open the doors for people to exploit the hell out of it.
