Basekit Corrupt When? They added basekit BT which was an essential, corrupt for some killers is too.
Obviously making the entirety of corrupt base kit would be way too much, however I think a simple solution can be exactly like how they gave BT base kit.
Corrupt default works for 60 seconds instead of 120. Then equipping the perk adds another 60 seconds to the timer.
This will give killers who have slow starts/longer set up time (like trapper/hag) more of a chance to play without being forced into losing one perk slots.
That's why BT was made basekit because with it out, it felt like you were being a hinderance to the team, and you were forced a perk slot to make up for it.
I think corrupt is the exact same way but for killer.

The problem with that is that some killers - like Trapper and Hag - are forced into one specific playstyle at best, and are actively harmed at worst, with a basekit Corrupt Intervention.
I understand what the goal is, or at least I think I do: give killers a hand with early game pressure because sometimes that can be really difficult. I just think there are better ways of addressing that than forcing everyone into the playstyle that Corrupt supports.
For instance, if the game changed so that survivors were forced to all spawn together, or at least in groups of two, the average early game experience for the killer would skyrocket due to the worst outcome no longer being possible.

I play Myers and Trapper both without Corrupt and win most my matches. If Myers can work without it, then everyone can work without it. Basekit BT targeted a design flaw too long abused. The only thing in this realm that could remotely be considered a design flaw is Survivors spawning apart in all directions when the Killer spawns in the middle.

they work without it because average survivor plays horrendously and lets you gain free early game pressurei, not because "those killers are good without it"

i am pretty sure goal is just to add gen defence to the killer base-kit but i don't think early game is as problematic for killer. at least when i play killer, i get like 2 downs before i am losing gens. my problem is being able to hold gens after i am "doing" well. Like i am still just bleeding gens while ending chases very quickly. for low tier killer, their chases are still too long but that problem with those killer's balance over gen defence issue.
adding corrupt intervention will only strength camping heavy play-styles where more games will have less gen done in early stages promoting early second staging. ideally, it should be that the more active you play, the more rewarded you get instead of opposite for what corrupt enforces playing inactively to capitalize off its early game advantage.

I mean also because you aren't actually supposed to play setup styled (for best results). If you bring setup styled perks then it helps to play that way, but I recommend taking the offensive for 10 matches and feeling it out. I play them both hard aggro at the start, only setting traps when I can pickup another en-route to the next Surv search spot for Trapper, and not doing the 40m staredown on Myers (for the penalized stalk speed).
