Should bear traps have a bigger hit box?

Not insanely big, but just very slightly. Everyone knows why, everyone who has played against and as the Trapper. When placed at a pallet, window or at other intervals, survivors are able to squeeze past, even if it seems like they shouldn't be able too.
There is of course concerns when bringing this up. Removing the skill from Trapper or making the hitbox too big that it shuts down pathways it shouldn't. I believe it would be a good quality of life change that would help Trapper properly lock down these spaces without survivors sidestepping. It would also help newer players not feel so bad when an trap that should obviously work shouldn't.
