What are usually the explanations of sudden FPS Drop please ?

I've experienced this 'Technical Issue' today and that is a real problem: my FPS has dropped ingame under the 30 frames per second…
Someone said that is linked to my internet connection but I've considered so far 9MB/s was enough to play quietly as I did until today.

Well, about my internet connection, I'm using the wired ADSL stuff and the weather outside is very windy. Probably it is another dumb idea but maybe should I wait until the cables outside stop to swing ?
