I feel like new lights out is just not balanced in the slightest and also not fun

This game mode feels like it is not balanced and while mechanically everything works well it feels like it was just not playtestested for balance or fun.

Here are my thoughts:

  1. The first killer tome challenge is to break 4 pallets. It took me 3 games to get that. For 4 pallets. Survivors can't see what loop has pallets or not before running there so they rarely throw pallets. A lot of other challenges are to earn bloodpoints. In a mode with no bp offerings and no inherent bp bonus. This feels just like stupid design.
  2. The killer roaster powerlevel is just so insanely unbalanced. Killer with information abilities (Legion, Skull Merchant, Doctor, etc) are extremely busted while many others (Hillbilly, Wraith, Huntress, Deathslinger, etc) are way weaker due to the lack of visual input. Dredge is allowed even though it makes the screen pitch black, but Freddy is banned. Legion is especially busted because the darkness means its pretty easy for killers to get in one free hit when they find someone so if survivors don't heal Legion can just insta down survivors and if they do heal, Legion can just use Frenzy way more effeciently.
  3. The Yamato Estate, especially near the house, is just disproportionally darker than the other maps. While I feel like this mode is generally Killer sided, that section of the map feel survivor sided as hell.
  4. Hatch is almost impossible to find, and while I luckily didn't encounter it, I didn't see any mechanic that would prevent survivors from just holding the game hostage by hiding.
  5. The gameplay on the killer side is very boring. Only 4 maps. All you can do is pratol generators and unhooks. The free hit you usally get and the fact that survivors don't see loops before going there means chases are very short. You can't spot someone in the distance. You can't interupt healing. If you loose a healthy survivor for even a second there is often nothing you can do except going back for patrolling. Survivor gameplay is boring for the same reasons (killer just patrols gens, short chases)
