My game keeps freezing, and being slow in general?

Hi everyone,

Since yesterday afternoon, out of nowhere, my game has been having severe performance issues.

It all started mid-match when I was practicing Chucky in customs when all of a sudden the game froze for 10+ seconds when I charged Slice 'n Dice. The audio was still intact during the freezing, and after the freezing stopped I was on the other side of the map and the survivors were still getting on like nothing happened.

This progressively got worse when every action I did whether big or small just froze the game for a considerable amount of time to the point it would crash my game and disconnect me from the servers.

Figuring it was just one of those days for DBD server issues, I carried on hoping it would disappear. However, when I finished that Chucky match the game was soooo slow that every button I pressed completely froze the game for 20+ seconds.

Imagine every action being performed in the lobby (including other teammates' actions too!) causing my game to freeze. I have crashed many times because of this and after quitting the game my computer runs extremely slow as well.

My PC specs are:

Windows 10 64-bit, AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core Processor, 16GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti.

Thing is though, my PC only runs slow and sluggish after encountering these problems on DBD. My PC runs fine on every other game I own. I have re-installed DBD but nothing's changed. I have done everything necessary to try and resolve the issues but to no avail.

I will mention that as soon as I boot up DBD it takes forever for the "Press Space To Continue" screen to appear. And when I do press space it freezes for a while and the message "EAC Client can't be instantiated" and forces me to quit the game. This and the freezing/lag has rendered DBD unplayable for me.

So to summarize, for unknown reasons my game keeps freezing on every action I, or someone else performs, crashes mid-match and causes my PC to be slow afterwards. I can't load the game due to the message "EAC Client can't be instantiated" and I have tried everything to to solve it to no avail. My PC works completely fine on other games / in general unless I open DBD.

Has anyone else had issues like this? If so, what is going on and how can it be resolved please? It's driving me mad.
