The Pig needs its ability adjusted/buffed
Been playing around with The Pig or Jigsaw killer and for the first time I am rather unimpressed by this killer after some told me of the killers I should buy this one was in the top 5. No this not some "mad cuz bad" post, more like "mad because boring" This killer feels a lot like Ghostface with its basic setup, and the main feature of the killer being able to put the reverse bear traps on downed survivors and then having to try to remove them before they go off is a decent mechanic, bonus on the fact they will kill a survivor trying to leave through the exit gate when active.
But this ability is also in some ways useless, compared to the abilities of some other killers. Main thing it serves as is a distraction to survivors by making them have to avoid repairing gens if they are properly coordinated or an SWF group. To which it really dont take that long to get rid of them even using a setup that reduces the Jigsaw Boxes or are constantly chasing the trapped survivors to keep them away from the boxes, and then comes the big issue and that's having a limited number of them. So again I already gotten a few 4Ks with this killer but the experience was underwhelming compared to other killers I play with.
The thing that annoys me is the way the traps work, you put them on a downed survivor and either hook or leave them to be rescued, have to wait for a gen to be repaired for them to activate, chasing a trapped survivor seems to stop the trap timer based on an experience I had as a survivor against the pig and in recent matches where I was trying to keep 2 trapped survivors away from the boxes and the timers were turning white when close, finally one went off killing the survivor but the other ofc managed to get there's off. Was more annoyed to learn this killer was nerfed as the traps apparently used to activate when a downed survivor was raised, which is what I thought they done cause someone told me this not knowing of this nerf either, so basically the best you can get out of this killer with its current setup is some gen denial, the traps should be a more significant threat.
My main suggestion is definitely some changes in how they activate, I would say revert that nerf so they activate when a downed survivor is gotten up or escapes the killer but that could come at a price of not getting hook points so instead I propose that in addition to gens, traps can be activated by unhooking a trapped survivor, which just activates theirs and not any others, the gens of course activating all traps, anoher thing is opening an exit gate should activate the traps. Additionally the timers should not pause if the killer is close by, that is one of the things that defeats the purpose.
One new feature is similar to some other killers like the Trapper, the traps should be able to be recovered by the killer after being taken off by a survivor, proposed setup is when a survivor takes off the trap it will be on the ground next to one of the boxes and highlighted in white when the killer is near it like about 12 meters. This would help in addressing the matter of them being used up early on and help see more use out of them.
Also the killer I think should be able to by default see the auras of Jigsaw Boxes around the map, as like the gens that is likely where survivors would be hanging, I cant even see why you wouldn't have these visible to the killer.

I'm relatively new Pig Main myself (beena Pig main since I started in May 2023) , and it's interesting to read your take. Nothing you've said is incorrect, and I can understand why Pig might not be your flavour of character.
She is great character to learn DBD because she requires good fundamentals, and she also buys the time you need to put those fundamentals into practise via her RBT slowdown.
The main satisfaction point of the Pig is understanding you are trying to make the game a 3vs1, and use the pressure that exerts to force a survivor error to snowball the game. Good survivors will be less likely to make an error, and also give you less opportunity to do it in the first place (you are mostly just an m1 killer afterall)... which is why she not considered good, but she tests your understanding of game state better than any other killer.
What to do
In short, you shouldn't be chasing survivors off of jigsaw boxes most of the time, as that isn't maximising your slowdown/3vs1 strength. You definitely want to end your first chase quickly before gens start popping, so any perks that help you with that are great.
To play Pig at more advanced level, what you want to do is identify the headtrap pattern and squeeze at the right moment. Your 4 traps will have 12 searches total (an average of 3 per trap, which is maintained if you have more/less traps via add-ons). You want to watch the HuD and have an approximation of when a headtrap is removed.
The pattern you really want is 1 search trap removal on the first survivor. This means your remaining traps are gonna be some combination of 3-4-4, and every trap you put out from now on is a long one that survivors can't deviate for unhooks/saves while running. If you get a survivor on hook while another survivor is doing a 3/4 headtrap, they cannot afford to come help in any way shape or form, otherwise they risk dying to a head pop. This is where you can try and interrupt/zone this survivor off of boxes for maximum pressure should the opportunity present itself.
If you get a long search off of the first survivor, where they still haven't got their head trap off after significant time, you can now go and hunt for them, guessing where they will be based on where you hooked them originally. They should still be injured (if they are not, they are on even more of a time crunch) and close to popping, so you can really put pressure on them if you can find them.
Keeping a rough internal timer on headtraps and playing around the timers you know are in play is a big part of the Pig, and you can get pretty creative with builds and add-ons to create your own playstyle around it since Pig naturally has a slowdown built in, so you can look to more chase orientated perks to shore up her weakneases.
If she isn't for you that's fine, but I hope this helps if you give her another go ^🐽^
