Idea for buff The Dredge.

I want to introduce myself a bit: I’m a player with around 5,000 hours of experience, playing both Survivors and Killers. The Dredge is my favorite Killer, both in terms of story, character design, and powers. However, I’ve noticed that this Killer has relatively few players, even after receiving a buff in patch 8.2.0, which only slightly improved his quality of life.

For me, The Dredge is a Killer that can be handled easily. When he uses his power, he raises his hand, allowing Survivors to look back and know that he will teleport to the locker in front of them. This gives Survivors the opportunity to run in the opposite direction to counter him. Also, lockers are not scattered all over the map like Sadako’s TVs or Xenomorph’s tunnels, which tend to spawn near generators.

I think that:

  • There should be an ability added for The Dredge to stop his teleport partway, using a system similar to The Spirit and The Knight (hearing cries when injured or footsteps).
  • While teleporting to the locker in front, he should be able to stop and exit the teleport by pressing the spacebar or another key. Upon exiting the teleport, he would move slower, similar to The Unknown after teleporting to a decoy.

So what would happen if I stopped a longe range teleport and happen to be in a wall, will I be stuck in it?

Or when inside an elevation? Will I just spawn mid air and drop down? Seems like hell to code or even fix after it caused a million bugs.

I'd definitely like to see Dredge getting buffs, I like his design, I like facing him and playing him, but I get absolutely destroyed by good survivors, usually.

That seems overpowered. You could teleport anywhere on the map and survivors wouldn't really be able to stop it.

And pretty much trivalizes the whole locker aspect of his power, because entering it would be a waste of time.

I do think maybe you should be able to cancel a teleport before you use the 1st token though to allow you to correct for teleporting to the wrong locker, but it would put you back where you started the teleport.

I don't think that's needed, that's why you get 3 Tokens to correct your mistake if you happen to do one, Dredge is already really good!

The only buffs he needs are standardization of the amount and distance of Lockers in each map, so you don't end up with a Locker heaven on Midwich or a Locker limbo on Swamp, and maybe add a yellow Aura to a Locker that you just teleported from, just like Singularity has so you can teleport back to where you have been without trying to find the right Locker.
