Why Is Matchmaking in DBD taking FOREVER?!

I play on my account is takes maybe 2 mins at most then my husband tries on his account and we've been trying for about 30 mins now but off and on since 1am... Can someone give me some input here, I even checked if crossplay is on and it is .. so idk what's going on.

    Since the event started, I was unable to get a match as Killer in the event mode no matter how long I waited until yesterday. Every other queue was fine for me, and the Killer event queue was fine for everyone else I knew. I reported it as a bug, but it eventually fixed itself.
