Regular EAC Kick -- Have to Verify Game Files Regularly to Keep Playing
SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: I regularly get the error message when I'm trying to join a lobby "EAC has detected the game files have been modified (error code 5). To resolve this, please verify the integrity of the game cache (found under the Local Files section of the game's properties). Additional info: Unknown file version (DeadByDaylight\Content\Paks\pakchunk4100-Windows.ucas)"
I do what it says and verify my game files, then I can play DBD again without issue. But then, the next day, the same thing happens. In the last few weeks I've been forced to verify my game files over a dozen times, because it keeps happening over and over again.
To my knowledge I am doing nothing to modify game files, I don't even know how to do that. And I have no programs that try to alter how games are run (I know there are programs that try to add filters or things to games, but I've never installed one and don't even know how).
PLATFORM: Windows 11
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED: Try to join a lobby after launching the game from Steam.
VIDEO: I attached a photo of the error message.
PLAYER LOGS: Attached.
