Still Sight: A simple buff that would make it much better to use
Context
The dungeon and dragons chapter (in my opinion) was perfect besides the map (which is cool but... not super enjoyable in gameplay) but, I wanna talk about the survivor
Aestri came with 3 perks, bardic inspiration, the illusion thing that I forgot the name and still sight, the first time I saw still sight I was SUPER EXCITED because I had this idea before I knew about the chapter and I really wanted a perk like that in the game
Recently i bought both vecna and aestri... but Still sight was a disappointment, for me, 4 seconds standing still doing absolutely nothing seems normal, but in game it feels like an eternity because you literally can't do nothing, you can't heal, you can't open a chest, or do a totem, a gen, nothing, activating it is as hard as getting a 4K blindfolded in eyrie of crows as walking nurse
The changes
Still Sight can now activate if you're interacting with a totem, a chest, healing yourself, healing another survivor, recovering in the ground, while on hook, doing an exit gate, lifting a pallet, a turret station, the cube, a supply box... ETC (maybe a generator too)
Explanations
Just like the skull merchant scan line immunity mechanic, being stationary should count interacting with stuff like the ones I mentioned before, it would make the perk feel so so so so much better to use in my opinion
And if you use the ada's generator trap as a comparison, remember that her perk works all the time (no need to be standing still), works for every survivor and also warns you if a stealth killer kicked the generator (because it deactivates)
If you guys think that it is too much you could even reduce the radius a little bit

They should make it take 2 seconds.
It's more efficient than giving the perk a new effect.
I like your idea though, it outclasses Dark Sense, which means the design team would need to buff or rework that perk too.

I think decreasing the cooldown is kinda risky because it would kill some mind games from the killer side, but they could test it
And I honestly forgot dark sense was a thing lol

If the killer lets you stand still for 2 seconds at a mind game-able loop they deserve to lose that mind game.
I understand your concern though, maybe the perk should only work outside of chase?

Yea I like this idea! So basically when standing still or doing certain actions while also standing still.

I don’t see why it couldn’t trigger while on Hook, but for everything else: Not with Killer Aura reveal: Makes cleansing Totems much safer, healing safer, every action more than 4s safer, and also gaining constant aura pings while not necessarily actively looking for such information.
Far, far too many cases of passively gaining information over a decent area while already in the process of performing “time efficient” actions.
Information is important, and shouldn’t be handwaived away simply because it isn’t as immediately interesting.

Even if the perk isn't buffed, one QoL I would like is to have it charge while stood still and degrade while moving, only have it function when fully charged, but at least if I slightly adjust I only have to wait a fraction of a second. It's quite frustrating how if you even move a pixel to adjust if you change your mind, you're back to waiting for 4 seconds.
Letting me stand still for 4s to charge it, then making it take 2s to deplete when doing actions/moving would make it much less irritating to use.

Kinda like needing you to stand still and not be doing any other objective at the time?
But in terms of QoL I do like what Jester mentioned.
