The DMS change was pointless, did nothing to remedy the problematic aspects of the perk (namely its combination with Pain Resonance), the perk is countered easily by survivors in higher MMR, while in lower MMR it becomes even more oppressive with its long active state.
DMS was fine as it was and it shouldn't have been touched, it's a lot more unbalanced now and it's also just plain stale; no longer works with the niche builds and killers that used to capitalise off of it.
It's just stale and boring and generic.
