SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: Just got a new PC, downloaded DBD and the game wont run at all.

PLATFORM: PC

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED:

Launch sends my PC (brand new) into BSOD, I've been through all the fixes, drivers are up to date, etc. In the local files, I cannot even get EAC to launch when run as admin, literally nothing happens when I try to launch it. I cant get the logs of the game failing. One attempt to run the game (after trying some fixes) did give me the error message EAC did not install (I did not get player logs of that attempt sadly and can't replicate it), but again, I cannot run it standalone to repair or anything.

VIDEO: I'm unsure how to record any kind of video of this happening

PLAYER LOGS:

  • Player logs are required from PC players only.

I can't access player logs after BSOD, or I am unaware of how to do that.

    I also got some big problems with EAC. For two days now I can't play because of this Easy Anti Cheat problem. The game starts loading, but once the small initial loading window disappears (the one showcasing the new rifts Soma and Dracula skins), everything in the background crashes, especially the explorer, giving me no option but to hard reset. Any other games still play normally and no other function seems to be affected. I ran two windows repair programs that got recommended, and they indeed fixed something with a WLAN.dll so I no longer got a popup window claiming their was an untrusted file, but DBD itself still doesn't load and crashes my explorer. Because of this there are no screenshots or crash reports, the PC is just frozen HARD.

    Easy Anti Cheat setup also won't work, it just flashes once and then instantly closes itself.

    Ya'll may have already decided you cant help me since this is still a pending status. I still can't play the game and I think it may be due to the version of windows 11 my pc is on because it's new. This is a known problem with version 24H2 of windows 11 which is exactly what I have. Their website stated that the 24H2 version is being modified before full roll out due to compatibility issues but I must have it because my PC is new. I will wait and hope it works eventually. Thanks for letting me know what you guys know though and for helping me keep on playing your game!!! Veteran players with over 7000 hours in game dont really wanna be here anyways right?
