Suggest adding voice comms
would be cool to have proximity voice with just survivors not killer, maybe killer too idk but I feel like it would add a cool element to the game, it gets pretty stale and repetitive

This idea seems good on paper until you have Ace running towards your gen, blasting repeated slurs.
With all due respect for our fine community, certain members cant be trusted with such ability and repeated arguments about this suggestion has in the past still suggested to me that discord provides better alternative. So does that mean that because some people cant drive safely the rest of us have to be restricted to federal speed limits? Yes its the probably where this idea has ended.

Agreed. I've seen such awful speech in the endgame chat that some things people said probably bordered on being illegal (which I felt I had to report). I can't imagine what some people would say on comms during a rough match.
The idea sounds great until the whole spectrum of players has access to it :(

I get the fear of that speech but having the OPTION to have comms makes the game much different than having none. For example
1. Game starts killer has Lethal Pursurer. Players can tell others the killer knows where they are which can lead to better chases.2. Who the killer is. Example if its a stalker killer players can tell others before they get ambushed
3. Hexes and where they are
4. Hooks and if Killer is tunnel/camping OR if the killer is slugging
There is more but having chat option in game can lead to a better game AS LONG as chats are options and mute options are available.1 -
Itd definitely make solo q or even duo survivor more bearable because you have that ability to communicate. Even excluding the information you can say, you can verbally ask for help or warn survivors about stuff. like "hey dont save me hes camping", or "dont heal me just get on a gen"

The best thing they could do is add the Survivor dialogue wheel from DBD mobile. Or they could also add text chat, which would make it significantly easier to report and ban people for offensive/inappropriate language when compared to voice chat.

They will never add this, because they cannot moderate it. The chat filter shows they're invested in censoring what people in their game say, however flawed it is.

Okay fine
1. The heartbeat is a status icon for all players including when downed or on hook.
2. The anti-camp bar is a status bar for all players
3. Killer hits a player or grabs the player/downs them the Killer is revealed.0 -
It would be both impossible to moderate and negatively affect balance decisionmaking in regions other than NA thanks to spoken language diversity,, and thats if you ignore the fact that plenty of people don't want to be hit with toxicity mid-match.

Do you think swfs infallibly call out exactly where the killer downed them?

The option to play with voice chat already exists.
There are a multitude of discord servers out there for finding SWF team mates.
The problem with baking it into the game itself is that it would become expected to be used. You introduce a new reason for survivors to dodge, grief and sandbag each other, "they wouldn't unmute" or "they muted me", and so everyone who doesn't opt in to voice chat is handicapped even more than they are now.
Then if the increase in voice chat ends up havingba tangible effect on kill rates, we end up with killer buffs to compensate. Which again results in those who opt out of voice chat being handicapped even more than they are now.

Okay the heartbeat status still is active when the player downed so YES they can TELL YOU IF THE KILLER IS WITHIN RANGE.

yes if not voice chat then this is a way better option

DDiscord for teamchat, proximity chat to insult the killer.
