OK, seriously - can we remove the Hooking 'black bubble' now?
This passive feature of the game's mechanics ruins things like Kindred for survivors. The efforts to give survivors more information - such as showing who is working generators, healing, or cleansing - points to wanting to improve simple QOL yet this one issue has survived for almost a decade without being addressed.
We don't need a blinding, black bubble to tell us where the hooked survivor is. Their red aura hanging like dried meat contrasts everything else in the game.
And while we're at it, I wouldn't mind if the piano note was removed when someone is hooked, either.

I hate it at times but I kinda take it as an old homage to old dbd.

Honestly wish they would remove it, it takes up so much of your screen and you cant tell if the killer is coming your way most of the time.

But if we're affected by blindness, that black bubble is the only way to tell where the Survivor is hooked. They used to have it so the Killer aura was visible through that bubble. They need to bring that back.

I don't mind the bubble itself as a visual cue but it shouldn't block auras, for sure.
The same goes for completing generators, it hamstrings perks like Bitter Murmur. If auras could be seen through those two bubbles, it'd be a lot less frustrating.

They tried to fix it, failed and now they say its working as intended.

It's both pointless and inefficient. It defeats the purpose of several perks even existing. All they need to do is have auras supersede the bubble and everything would be fine. This may be the easiest, most trivial of all fixes in a video game.

The whole point of it is to hide the auras, though. If auras are visible through it, it may as well be removed.

Yeah, I always play soloQ with Kindred and my hate against black bubble is increasing with every game.

Isn't the whole point to display location to everyone, so blindness is not an issue?

It's also to hide the killers direction where he's going immediately after a hook. That way you cant just look at the person getting hooked and know where he's going immediately after.

Doesn't really make sense to create Kindred in first place then.
Why create perk to show exact information you want to hide? So I doubt that is the reason for it….0 -
I mean that's what the devs said a while back. With the bubble, you are given free information exactly where the killer is, but not exactly where he's going. Kindred is more to help warn about campers.
