So I just wanted to make a post about my opinion on some key things in this latest update 8.4.4 or whatever it was.
Killers perks are all around decent as far as I can tell, but they don't come without worries. Plenty of other stuff mentioned in the update raises talking points but I only want to focus on this stuff. Shaking Thunder, with this implemented can we please look into balanced landing because that perk seems to fail these days but the killer with this perk gains nothing but good from dropping down. It's another situation of survivor feels like a perk to use requires more than the killers variation. Her scourge hook, don't mind this at all, I'm assuming some helpful synergy potential too surely. Lastly for killer though & most importantly No Quarter, this perk is going to have to change, again I mention the killer perk strength it's 1 perk slot for an effect that does one thing to punish but then punishes failing the initial punish. You get merciless for Healing for want of a better way to put it, but if you fail you get broken instead. Solo survivors are struggling enough as it is these days without being essentially banned from healing too.
We'll move on though survivor new perks; clean break, second wind but the time to use it is up to you. I like that it's strong but not broken as far as I see it. Shoulder the Burden, survivors need this & absolutely can make use of this, it's very strong if used effectively however all that said, I'm assuming we'll be changing something to make it a little less strong. Makes sense, but just don't ruin it right off the bat please. But now I saved it for last for a reason, we finally have a second Invocation. Weaving spiders I think is balanced well, broken for all the impact you make on gens, the time it takes is finally at a nice place, only problem is killers are too aware so it's not often used, but hey that's the game, again I see it as quite balanced. All this said this new one is AWFUL, same time taken, to be BROKEN but give the team aura however only IF certain things happen, a survivor has to be in the terror radius, but then the killer also has to scare a crow, so then the team can see aura for 2 SECONDS! If you're not paying attention this offers nothing as it's such a short time frame. This perk is worse than a risk. It would be different if you weren't broken for this, it would be different if less situation required & would be different but maybe too strong if the seconds are too much.
This update is looking interesting to say the least but the actual newest features coming in have raised these concerns for me. We're only in PTB so we'll see what happens but we're all free to talk about our thoughts here so have at it.
