Why Does Pinhead Break His Own Chains?
I’ve always assumed that the reason his chains function this way is because it is too difficult/impossible for the devs to make it so that chains break on survivors and the environment but NOT on Pinhead. If this is the case, then what can one do but accept it or move on to a different killer?
But if the chains could be altered and the current iteration of Pinhead breaking his own chains that he walks through is an intentional design choice, then I don’t know what to say. Say what you will about his add ons, but Pinhead’s basekit feels so bad to play. In what world does it make sense to take the time and skill to land a chain, only to immediately undo any benefit by either walking so far around the chains or walking through them and breaking them?
I honestly kinda hope it’s the former instance where it’s out of the devs’ hands, because the alternative is even worse.

i don't know why his chains break at all. environment one is the worst because skilled survivor manipulate chains with environment and break all chains instantly. so they either don't care to dodge my chain and render ability ineffective or they just stay in the gateaway so i can't shoot them anyway.
apparently pinhead was on the list for changes but Myer's and freddy changes coming in first.
