So I tried Houndmaster. After my first 4 or so matches I thought she was pretty fun, tho I didn't fully understand her yet. I had some once in a while weird things but my impression was generally positive. And then I kept playing and the once in a while things kept happening more and more. And then I got some bad tiles/maps.

Here is a list of things that I take issue with:

  1. Chase is bugged as hell. I didnt notice it much earlier because I didn't use her power actively because I was still getting used to it. But Chase attack is bugged as hell. There is sometimes a glitch that ordering the dog to chase just doesn't work. The dog just doesn't run in the direction you point him. You still get cooldown and lose distance from charging up your power. And with sometimes I mean roughly twice a match. This happens so commonly, I wonder how did they not catch it.
  2. The Chase line is a lie. There is a line when holding the charged up chase power that is supposed to tell you where the dog is supposed to run. Emphasis on "supposed to". First of all, the line is too long. The dog will not reach the end of the line. He will stop slightly before reaching the end. Secondly, sometimes he doesn't follow the line. He gets stuck on obstacles that the line claimed he would run around. Sometimes he vaults over a pallet/window the game claimed he would run past or vice versa.
  3. The dogs pathing is atrocious. Quite frequently he will drag survivors he bites away from you. Other times he will just randomly decide to run a lap when returning to you, making your recharge power even slower.
  4. She cannot handle verticality at all. I didnt notice this earlier because I was doing adept and could use All-Shaking Thunder, but Snugs is terrible at vertical spots. While the dog has no problem with dropping down holes for search, he will refuse to drop down from any heights while chasing. This means that on some loops (like the staircases on the game, or the harvesters on Coldwind Farm), the dogs power is absolutely useless and a survivor can dodge the dog by just dropping down. Hell, even if you land the dog, they can just drop down because dropping down from ANY height removes the dog as well. Generally, I thought she is weak but not the worse, but the more verticality a map has the worse she is. I'd argue that on maps like The Game she is the worst killer in the game, worse than Skull Merchant or Freddy or Trapper, because her power is useless in so many spots.
  5. The orange gens need to more orange. While differentiating the orange generators from the red generators is easy, telling apart the orange generators and yellow generators is a pain, especially through bright walls, like on Treatment Theater.
  6. Various lesser bugs. The dog can take impossible vaults, the dog randomly slows down sometimes, the dogs pathing takes random drop downs, the dogs, a lot of times the camera when spawning is inside the killer instead of rotating around her. I'd argue that in terms of buginess she rivals Twins and Knight.

This killer needs a massive fix patch ASAP.
