Changes I would make to: Moment of Glory

Recently two perks that work akin to an anti-hemorrhage syringe have been released (very recently mine you, since both have come with the last two chapters). While both are interesting in concept the use rate is not very high despite both perks coming out within 3 months. Those perks are Moment of Glory and Clean Break, but I’d like to focus on Moment of Glory in this post.

Moment of Glory’s requirement’s are way too high for how much of a risk you’re taking to heal yourself. Two chest searches?! With the possibility being that you get a Medkit to heal yourself from one of the chest you search. Not only that, but only one chest spawn is guaranteed which is the basement chest, you’re better off picking inner strength since there will be more totems than chests on the map while dealing with spawn RNG.

What I’d change: Moment of Glory now becomes activate-able after searching/rummaging through 1 chest. Stand in place and press the “active ability button” to use, in which you will become broken for 50 seconds. No longer lose the ability to activate Moment of Glory when going down, allowing you to pick yourself up while downed after 50 seconds.

With these changes Moment of Glory can now be an activate-able perk that you can choose when to use with less time consuming conditions to activate. No more instant activations followed by downs shortly afterwards because a stealth killer got a jump on you, completely useable on your own terms. Standing in place to activate allows you to still use Dead Hard without them overlapping. And the biggest change is allowing you to use Moment of Glory when downed to pick yourself up. While a controversial change, the rise of slugging is going up tremendously with only a select few perks (around 8) allowing you to counter it. The survivor will still have the broken status effect to let the killer know they used it, allowing for counterplay.
