SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE:

Just after finishing a game, before going back to the character selection menu, the game goes black and finally crashes.

PLATFORM:

PC, Windows 10, Nvidia GPU

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED:

Just after finishing a game playing as survivor, while going back to the the character selection menu (or lobby), the game goes black, no sound. If I swap windows then I can't go back to Dead by daylight one. It keeps that way for quite a time (I'm writing as it's happening to me, it's been stuck that way more than 5 minutes now), until I force the program to end or the "crashed message" appears. Until I force the shutdown, the game keeps consuming a big part of process memory.
This is the third time it has happened to me since the hotfix patch 8.4.1. It didn't happen after 8.4.0.

After rebooting the game, the progress since last boot is lost (bloodpoints gained and not used on character, perks changes, items obtained during game since the boot, etc.)
