10 deficient Survivor Perks that just need some simple Changes
10. Dramaturgy
Decrease the length of the exposed status effect from 12 to 8 seconds. Only clumsy or very unlucky uses of Dramaturgy should result in an insta down.
9. Bardic Inspiration
How to make repairing gens more entertaining? Bardic Inspiration! Altough many times you just risk losing time sadly. If the killer interrupts you for example or you have to rescue someone. It feels like you were just wasting time! But what if you could boost gen repair and healing speed by 15% while you perform? It would make running this perk more worth it, not just for the musical performance. No more »no no no« from other survivors hopefully ;( (copium)
8. Fast Track
It reads the following in the perk description: »Sometimes the sacrifice of others is necessary to get ahead«. So you get 3% bonus great skill check progress for everytime a teammate is gettin hooked. So why not give an extra 3% bonus progress if a teammate is sacrificed (=final hook on a survivor grants +6% instead of +3%). It´s already a perk that works best when you already losing, if survivors survive too much, you don´t get much value from this perk anyway.
7. Alert
Killer breaks a pallet, you see the aura. Is not bad, but why not also reveal aura when the killer vaults? Would make it a pretty good perk actually. Right now it´s a bit underwhelming
6. Specialist
It permanently removes 4 seconds of charges on a gen for each chest you opened. Now let´s buff that number to 6 seconds ...opening a chest by itself takes 8 seconds, now counting the travel time between all those chests, even with the suggested buff it´s far from gen-efficient, but hey you still get all those items and you might counter gen regression
5. Still Sight
The ultimate aura read if you stand still for 4 seconds. There is one problem though. The radius of the aura read is only 24 meter, making it hard to get any real value out of this perk. Increase the radius to 48 meter and the perk might actually be pretty decent.
4. Calm Spirit
Immersed scaredy cat survivors equip this perk the most. They like to do their totems and chests. And now they gonna do it a lot slower? Against "Thrill of the Hunt" it gonna be a nightmare. Just an unnecessary downside
3. Camaraderie
It´s the selfish "Reassurance", but a lot worse. Increase the hook time pauser from 34 to 50 seconds. Increase the range another survivor has to be close to you from 16 to 20 meters. Now this is the perfect perk to save you from a hard camp or bad teammates. It should show up for the killer, so that they can adapt to the new situation of not being able to camp a survivor to death
2. Spine Chill
This perk might help you against stealthy killers that are creeping up on you. Most of the time though you just gonna see the killer with your own eyes and the information is useless. One change could make this perk decent: Whenever the perk lights up, the aura of the killer is revealed for 4 seconds. Only the aura read itself has a cooldown (1minute). Remove the 6% action speed bonus. Now it´s basically a "Scene Partner" for more cautious survivors. No unhinged map wide screams and a potential early warning system against stealth killers at the cost of less aura reading
- Moment of Glory
You are injured, search in a chest for a med-kit, but you get a green key instead? Then equip this perk, gonna heal you automatically in 60 seconds (just from opening the chest)...is what I would like to say. An alternative to »Inner Strength«. But for some reason you need to open 2 chests, that´s just a diabolical requirement right there. If you have a chest build, you gonna find a strong med-kit or teammate sooner or later anyways and if you do not...well it might take you forever to find those 2 chests. I mean you could bring a map. But at this point why not just bring a med kit?
