Semi-Serious Game Mechanic Idea: Feed The Entity

Imagine an altar down in the basement, one dedicated to the Entity where the desperate can come to pray and beg for a favour. The Entity doesn't give something for nothing, though; if you want a gift, you must give something up in return…
Specifically, your item. This altar would allow you to 'feed' your currently held item into it, and gain some kind of small passive buff in return, alongside a burst of bloodpoints equal to what that item would've cost in the bloodweb.
Whatever the buffs end up being, they should be tied to the item type and not be affected by rarity.
Say, for example:
- Medkit: Permanent 15% speed boost for altruistic healing
- Toolbox: One shot at sabotaging a hook without a toolbox or a perk to do it
- Flashlight: The next time the killer comes close to you, see their aura for a few seconds
- Map: Permanent aura reading on 1-3 random objects that the Rainbow Map could track
- Key: See the Hatch when it spawns for a few seconds
- Flashbang: You get blinded. Why're you trying to flashbang the entity? That's not very nice!
These are just examples, of course, the actual effects could be anything. Basically, I want to enhance chest builds by allowing you to just get rid of whatever item you ended up getting and still get some kind of benefit that doesn't force you to give up your item slot to get it. You'd still be able to bring your item in and then recycle it, too, if you wanted.
What do we think?

New shorter and doesn't break me Invocation idea? 🤔🤔🤔
Since they're on separate buttons to activate anyway 😏
