Killer powers should be prioritized over chests!
So I posted this in bugs basically explaining it with a video of someone who also submitted it as a bug. Thinking they made an error I tried posting it myself hoping to get a different response/result. No luck…I was hoping the mods would at least iterate for example, "not a bug but it is known that this is causing issues and we are looking into changing it." Would have been better imo but I understand that the mods looking at bug reports section are likely looking for bugs and filtering out anything else without a second thought. So as the mod who closed it said, I am moving it here!
So the, lets say…map logic I guess? The map logic when loading a map it does so with everything being done in a specific order. Everything has set spawn locations that it picks randomly and once it gets through the list and everyone receives that data from the server the map is done loading. Makes sense so far. However, there is a slight oversight or at the very least a flaw in this system.
The Flaw: certain killer powers (as seen in the video) get blocked from where they should be getting placed due to chests sharing the same spawn locations AND chest are loaded into the map FIRST. So the simple fix should be just changing that order so killer powers are loaded first and THEN chests OR (the more complicated solution) making them share separate spawns.
Now if BHVR thinks this isn't that big a deal in most cases…well that's somewhat true. However once pigs figure this out…during the anniversary they can effectively try to clutter 2-3 boxes next to each other. Thus, bringing back the head pop pig they were so adamant about removing and that is going to be really miserable for survivors to deal with. That's what I'm really worried about.

Yeah, seems kinda pathetic to say this is not a bug.
Sounds like they just don't know, or it would be too difficult to fix.

Because fundamentally, it isnt a bug, the game was intentionally designed that way. This being said, just because it was "designed that way" does not make it good design, and the developers should look into finding a better spawning system for Killer powers.

Reality is you have blood points offerings that screw specific killers basically during every event…

Because it was easy for the developers to code.
It's been known since Killer Map Interactables were first added that they used the Chest Spawning algorithm for their spawn locations, the only thing that has caused people to have such an uproar about it is more Killer Powers being affected and Event Offerings spawning more chests.
Since it was intentionally coded to be that way, it isnt a bug, it is an intentional effect coded by the developers.
Again, I must state, just because it is intentional, does not make it good design. The developers took the easy way out early on and ever since it has negatively impacted Killer Powers, and the developers should go back and change this so it does not impact Killer Powers as much.

Essentially 3 chests have to spawn each trial by default.
A simple fix would be to remove extra chests from event offerings and refund chest spawning offerings if there is no saficient space for them to be present with killer objects on the map near gens.
If its possible they can alter all tiles and loops to garuntee a chest at a specific part of a tile and garuntee a specific spot for a killer object in a tile, though it would take alot of work since theres a few hundred tiles.
Simple fixes, but its up to bhvr to take action and actually be aware of this issue. Ps- that means upvote the comment : )

My recommendation for u is to post this in the recommended changes forums. I'm pretty sure its not a bug, its just poor design and lack of compensation for killer spawnables. This will gain traction if u really want it fixed. Though situational, its a very annoying feature and ur not alone.

That really doesn't sound to me as intended design. It comes to back to can't, or too much work to fix…
Issue is at start of the game it simply wasn't an issue until you they released killers whos power needs those objectives to spawn in decent locations.
Pig doesn't really care that much, but it's huge issue for Sadako and Alien, which should be fixed imo.
