Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Question for Alien Players. What does this mean?

I've never seen this before but I've only played Alien maybe 3 or 4 times, so what is this blue turret hologram?

It didn't fire at me and I couldn't interact with it nor destroy it.

What does it mean? It wouldn't go away for a few minutes.

That's the effect that survivors see when they are carrying a turret. It's a 'placement' aura that lets them know where they are going to place it. If it's blue it means they can place it there, if it's red they can't.

Normally the killer isn't meant to see this and it would disappear from the survivors POV once the turret is placed or if they drop it. So this is probably just a bug where someone was going or did place it there and the aura remained after the turret left through a bug.

That or it's the ghost of the turret you killed, you monster.
