Why is my ping suddenly spiking in game?

Suddenly having real issues with my ping in game. It normally sits at around 40ms, but since yesterday afternoon it started spiking from anywhere from 80-250ms. As you can imagine, it's making it rather difficult to play, lol.

As you can see my internet speeds are fine, and I play on a wired connection. I don't see packet loss icons when my ping spikes so I'm fairly certain it's not something I can fix? (I did do a lot of troubleshooting eg. restarting, verifying files etc. before I realised it was a ping issue).

Is there anything I can do about this? Since we've got boosted xp and points right now, it's a BAD TIME for my ping to be messing me about. Thank you!
