My suggestion on improving the self unhooking system
This is how I would restructure the way of the self unhooking system. Self unhooking is generally disabled and will be enabled only in certain scenarios. This System would be used in combination the Go next prevention mechanic.
1.Luck
When a survivor has an increased chance of unhooking themselves. This includes perks like deliverance, up the ante and offerings like salt pouch. Any increase in luck will enable the self unhooking option.
2.Anti Camp
When the Anti Camp meter is full. Since the anti camp feature will be reworked/changed, i cannot fully predict how it will work. Once you're able to unhook yourself with the Anti camp mechanic, the self unhooking option would be enabled again.
3.Desperate Unhook
This is the final and most complicated one. For the self unhooking option to be available, these following requirements need to be met.
- You have to be on hook and this must be your first hook stage.
- Two or more survivors need to be either dead(killed or sacrificed), in the dying sate, carried or hooked themselves.
- The final survivor, if they are still standing, must either be chased or within 16 meters of the killer.
These values are for the 1v4 game modes.
These requirements should be tight enough to prevent the survivor from going next, while also giving the opportunity to get a lucky self unhook. An added benefit would be that you could signal to your teammates, that you're able to unhook yourself, since starting to unhook would only be possible under these conditions.
