Konami Code 2025 Problem

just learned about the Vic Viper charm today and I tried having Pyramid Head in the lobby and tried to do the Konami code on my Xbox Series X version of DBD but each time I do it, one of the following occurs: I end up opening the rituals, I end up quitting the game instead, or I end up going into Options mode. How do I do it without the following happening?

The trick is, select "Play as Killer" and while its loading you need to put in the Code: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, and the Button with the three lines.

Has not worked for me. Left keeps bringing up the tomes menu even while loading killer.
