Proposed buffs/QoL for The Cenobite (Pinhead)
- Impaling wire addon basekit
- Slightly increased hitbox to Possesed chains
- No longer breaks own chains when walking into them
The possesed chains power is one of the hardest things in the game to land, while it also doesnt really do much to hinder the survivor. Not even to mention the RNG sometimes making all three chains snap immediatly, resulting in you succesfully using your power just slowing you down instead of the survivor. Compare the chains to lets say clown, the clown can throw a bottle and then a large AoE on the landing site will induce a heavy Hinder debuff that is non-RNG reliant, distorts survivor vision and the clown can also force survivors to keep walking in to it. Pinheads chains are harder to land, rely on rng to do anything and dont slow down as much as the clown does. And if that wasnt bad enough, closing the distance on a survivor might result in you helping them by breaking your own chains.. which is also RNG reliant..
I believe that these changes would be a healthy buff to this killer, making him stronger and increasing his quality of life without overbuffing him. Combine a buff to the killer with him also leaving soon and a lot of people would buy him, putting som extra dollars in your pockets. The Lament configuration doesnt really need any changes, i think its fine as is.
I must be going now… Thank you

I don’t think he will get any changes since he is leaving soon.

Pinhead is fine as he is right now. The only issues I can think of is bugs on the Decimated Borgo (you can't open a gateway over those wicker squares full of carcasses and garbage), and issues with the M2 being very capricious when it comes to casting it between floors (eg. main on Mother's Dwelling will have you casting chains upstairs while you're on the ground floor if you look up even SLIGHTLY (to regulate your cast distance) whereas on the game you will sooner draw blood from a stone than cast through the floor).
Balance-wise, he's just right. He's about consistency; you need to use your power constantly and be good with it. It's not about landing some epic trickshot and being rewarded with a hit; it's about slowly closing the gap with consecutive accurate chains. It's like that for a reason.-1 -
Disagree. Pinhead has too much counterplay. With every other killer, the counterplay is make them miss their power. With Pinhead, even if he lands his power, there’s a chance that he will actually LOSE distance. That’s insane. Making him miss his chains is more than enough, why should survs be able to negate a successful power hit? Not to mention Pinhead also hurts himself by breaking his own chains. The Houndmaster’s dog is better than Pinhead’s chains in every way, but mostly the guaranteed time to get a hit. Nothing feels worse than landing 3+ chains in a row and not gaining ANY distance. Again, this isn’t true of any other killer.
