Missing Achievements for 8.6.0 Chapter "The Ghoul" – Still shows 270 on Steam

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE:

After the release of the new chapter 8.6.0 ("The Ghoul") in Dead by Daylight, no new achievements have been added to the Steam version of the game. This is unusual, as past chapters consistently included new achievements tied to the newly released Killer or Survivor. Steam still lists only 270 achievements, and the Steam API also reflects this number. Clearing cache, restarting Steam, updating the game, and checking the Steam API directly did not resolve or clarify the issue.

PLATFORM:

PC – Steam (Windows)

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED:

• Installed the 8.6.0 update for Dead by Daylight.

• Launched the game post-update – verified that The Ghoul chapter is active.

• Checked the Achievements tab in Steam for Dead by Daylight.

• Observed that the total achievements remain at 270 (no increase).

• Cleared Steam cache and cookies, restarted Steam – issue persisted.

• Reviewed the Steam API directly at: https://store.steampowered.com/api/appdetails/?appids=381210 – still shows only 270 achievements listed.
