Some Decent (Killer) Perk Choices For The Blood Moon Event
With the way that the Event Playlist works, it can leave a lot of players unsure on how exactly to piece together a build, so I wanted to provide some perk choices that tend to get ignored despite working really well with the Event Playlist.
No Way Out
- This can buy yourself more time to get hooked in the end-game, but since it entirely avoids any Generator requirements, it functions just as it normally would. No Way Out is already a "sleeper" pick in the sense where not many players run it but it can provide solid value.
Forced Penance
- This perk causes Survivors who take Protection Hits to be given the Broken status effect (which prevents them from healing).
- Since the Generator speeds are overall faster and pressuring Blood Generators can be difficult due to the lack of help with perks, Forced Penance can make the game feel smoother by reducing the amount of damage altruism can generally deal.
Spies From The Shadows
- Whenever a Survivor close by alerts a crow, you will receive a Loud Noise Notification.
- This perk is already severely underrated but it helps with getting into chases faster and within the context of a chase can provide information for cutting off Survivors instead of taking a longer path and wasting more time.
- This perk also gets better on indoor maps due to the higher density of crows, which means it can turn many Killers' weakest maps into their strongest maps.
Leverage OR Coulrophobia + Distressing
- On any Killer with a 40-meter Terror Radius, use Coulrophobia and Distressing. On any Killer with a smaller Terror Radius, use Leverage.
- The goal of this is to generally make healing slower so you can either waste more time on healing actions (thus slowing down the game) or prevent healing outright which will result in faster chases (less health states to chew through).
I hope this helps anyone struggling to decide on what perks they can run. You are not absolutely required to run these, you can still run whatever works best for you, but these are just some perk choices I can recommend from my personal experience and testing.

These are solid picks. I went for an impossible healing build on Doctor (Coulrophobia, Distressing, Sloppy Butcher, A Nurse's Calling and two Calm add-ons) and it was crazy fun. Endgame builds around No Way Out + NOED are nice too since almost every game seems to reach the endgame. I also recommend going for full aura builds, since you got no regression you can at least get enough info to know where survivors are at all times. I'm currently playing lots of Artist and my build of choice is BBQ, Lethal Pursuer, Scourge Hook: Floods of Rage (can't even count the NUMBER of times this perk came in clutch lol) and Predator. Of course, Artist is a killer that benefits a lot from aura reading, other killers won't get as much advantage from it as her, but I still love these types of builds regardless.
