You think a JAWS Chapter would work?
Okay imagine it like this
"Bruce, The JAWS"
Stealth Killer Swimming in the Ground like Water, with the option to go lower to only have the fin poking out of the ground along with some "waves" for better visuals. Bruce has a constant lullabye inidcated by the iconic JAWS theme, the speed of the theme indicates how close he is to you. Far away you'll only here the occasional "Duun-nun" but as he approaches it'll pick up the tempo until he's on you.
Killer vision when you're "Underwater" is like Xenomorph underground, It's dark and you can see Gen aura's along with people's footsteps, you can still be stunned underwater, much like Wraith while Cloaked it's a harsher stun on BruceThere's also no M1 while underwater, you can resurface or do a lunge that shoots you forward, go for a fancy spin or something.
"But how will He Hook and Carry Survivors?"
Okay well Carrying could just be like, dragging the survivor on the ground with one leg in it's mouth
Hooking is a bit tough, either He like… Bites down and just... HUCKS them overhead onto the hook, or it's a unique low hook that rises when the sruvivor is placed on them, like a fish net crane y'know?
Perks and a Survivor can wait, if a base design can't work here not much point in going further.

I would pay $$ to play Jaws even if it meant only being playable on underwater levels. I dont care. Maybe that's a killer you wouldn't want to play 24/7 but rather once in a while but that's ok. Some killers like Artist and Hag are incredibly niche and don't get played normally anyways.

While the theme would make for a perfect terror radius music, this obviously wouldn't work in almost every other way.
Easier to just do a Tremors chapter.

As much as this probably seems like a joke to most players I legitimately think it would work and fit dbd very well. As you mentioned, the fin in the ground like water moving around. I figured his camera would just be third person. You'd only actually see the shark for his attack animation/hooking and then he goes back down.

While JAWS sounds a little far-fetched to me, a velociraptor as the killer would make more sense. Think Jurassic Park or Resident Evil's lesser known twin, Dino Crisis.

If BHVR should do a Shark Killer, it seems obvious to me that is has to be floating but have the same rules a normal killer has.
But the idea of going underground and having the fin stick up as a stealth mode is also good.0 -
I think making Water Based maps for one Killer is a lot more work than just "It swims in any terrain as if it was water but it's just normal for survivors"
