Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Obvious Improvements for Player Experience (Regarding Map Issues)

What I want to point out is obvious, and what the developers need to do in response is extremely simple.

Remove the random dead ends on each map that serve no clear purpose.

Eliminate the weird collision bumps sticking out from loopable objects.

When you're in the middle of a chase and suddenly get "forcefully stopped" by an unreasonable dead end, it kills your motivation.

And what's worse, these kinds of structures usually only benefit the killer, which is unfair.

Why? Because it's always the survivor who runs ahead during a chase, meaning the survivor is the one who constantly has to pay the price for the poor map design.

What? You're telling me to just memorize the maps? Hmm, okay.

Then please go ahead and tell a beginner:

“First, memorize all 50 maps and learn to avoid every unfair dead end by instinct. That’s when the real chase begins—that’s when Dead by Daylight truly begins!

”They’ll probably uninstall the game the same day.

What I’m suggesting here is an obvious issue that comes before any sort of balance adjustment.

Please address it as soon as possible.
