This update was terrible
The rarity changes had the most negative reception of any proposed change I have ever seen. I feel like I saw more people like the Twins rework than the new color update. And yet you kept it.
The quest system makes the game more grindy. You can't just do the time for as long as the rift is open, you need to play every day and every week to actually gain meaningful progress. Not only that, you get less rift progress than you did before. In addition to that getting rid of the rarity system, daily rituals and tomes took away so much personality from the game. If I wanted to play a different game, I would play a different game. Not every game needs to fit into the same cookie cutter shape.
Duty of Care was seen very negatively. People who played M1 Killers were worried because it made bodyblocking incredibly powerful for distance. And you nerfed... It's range? Like nobody complained about the range, tho that was mainly cause how cause how powerful the rest of the perk was perk was. The range doesn't really matter. If you save 1 teammate with it, it got it's value.
I'm not saying the Pentimento was fine... But this absolutely trashed it. Not only is it worse at doing it's job, cleansing it is very easy. The aura reading is extremely big, even if you're on coms odds are it's easier to find the aura than have someone tell you. And the effect is so much worse now. Like Even if you have 4 totems on new pentimento, it's not at effective at stopping repairs (the main reason people ran pentimento) or heals as old pentimento was at 1 or 2 totems. No, it won't be the worst perk in the world, but that doesn't mean it's good.
Then there is the smaller stuff. Bringing Boon: Dark Theory to MFT levels makes me worried. You buffed Game Afoot (good), but didn't fix it's bugs despite it being bugged for months. You made event items and offerings cost more, increasing their price to be on the same levels as iri. Etc...
This patch definitely had it's good things (I like the new Survivor and The Ghoul nerfs were nice for example), but despite that I think this patch was absolutely bad for the game. I absolutely believe it would be healthier for the game if this patch got completely reverted for the time being.
I never liked the mindset that the Devs are completely out of touch, but this patch seriously makes me consider it.
I know it's a small stance and it won't do much, but I won't spend money on the game until at least some of this stuff is sorted out.
