Not giving Killers a generic +1 chest offering is an oversight
So I know this a minor me thing, but I feel like this is a genuine oversight that needs to be addressed.
There is a perk called Human Greed. This perk shows you temporarily the aura of Survivors when they go near a chest. This means the killer should want there to be as many chests as possible. For add ons, there isn't really anything. For perks, there is also the perk hoarder, which adds more chests. Everything is fine.
But what about the offering slot? Well, usually there is nothing for killers. Survivors have coins that increase chests, and killers have cut coins that decreases chests. However, there is 1 killer available offering that states, among other things, "Increases the number of chests in the environment by +1." That offering is the Screech Cobbler. This offering makes it so that every player gets 108% bonus bloodpoints and that 1 extra chest spawns in. However, this offering is not a normal offering. It was an event offering that was only available during the Eighth Year Anniversary. This means you can no longer get it.
That causes an issue. This offering was originally perceived to be only used as a bloodpoint offering and was used as such. At the time killers couldn't really profit from more chests, and Survivors had offerings that created chests otherwise. However, Human Greed was added afterwards. This causes issues. I have stopped using Screech Cakes almost entirely on my killers since a few months ago. I only use them when I use Human Greed. Not because I want people to have less bloodpoint, I already always bring BPS when I can, but because I know that I am wasting a limited resource with an UNIQUE ability. And once I run out of them, my Human Greed builds are suboptimal without it.
So please, just add an offering that adds one more chest to the killer side. I know the bloodwebs are already pretty cluttered, so you can get rid of the brown objective BP offerings to make space for them.

I think they should retire the Common category BP offerings regardless. I'd even be happy with removing the Uncommon ones, too. Then downshift the Rare 100% ones to even out all the offering rarities. None of those are really worth the BP it takes to buy them.
I'd like additional Chest offerings for killer for sure, even a +2 one. Like you said it would help perks like Hoarder or Human Greed. But even without that, additional side objectives to lure survivors into spending time with is just more time off gens. TBH I'd also like additional Totem offerings for either side, too.

Honestly I think there should be more chests on the map baseline, it would make running killer item builds more enticing.

Killer have the Hoarder perk, which gives 2 chests. Apparently, the developers were counting on people combining unpopular perks, refusing a slot for the meta Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance or another popular perk.
But I would advise you to be careful with chests, they replace the spawn location of your abilities for some killers such as Plague, Xenomorph and Onryō.
