Seems like we have to raise the awareness a bit more.
Maybe by mass bringing Chest offerings so every new Springtrap player starts to complain about the spawns.
And, as we know, the devs take the feedback of the FNAF fanbase very seriously...

Absolutely this needs to be changed, especially since we are getting a killer that relies on good door spawns and the survivors need them to be good too so they can counter him.

Its funny that this thread gets this much attention. I did the same thread back in January and got like 12 vote ups and six posts. Seems people finally woke up that this was a problem.

Ok so one of them woke up that it was a problem then. Most likely got annoyed because they got bad placements because of cakes.

I'm honestly astonished that they would allow this to go unchecked since 2018;
Then again we're fully aware that BHVR has a severe allergic reaction to anything that even has the smallest chance of buffing Pig.
Determine layout > Populate Generators > Populate Killer Interactable > Populate chests > Determine Spawn Points.

Hm. Maybe it could be they don't want Jigsaw boxes right next to generators? But still either way. They should be prioritizing each killer item in whatever way they feel is appropriate. The Onryo tip as the game loads even says that TVs are near generators, so when the devs say it's not a bug, that is reaaaally dumb.

This is an extreme design flaw and with springtrap coming out this issue cannot continue or it will ruin the expierence for all those new players you're hoping to bring in for this chapter. Imagine buying the game and fnaf dlc just to see how terribly it works. Please fix this

This is one of the main reasons I just don't bother with Sadako (despite really wanting to). I'll either get the most abysmal spawns known to man or offerings from events will spawn in a truck load of more chests and mess up everything.
Worse off, with a killer I actually do enjoy playing and have put a lot of time into, this can be (somewhat) abused. Singularity. If his items are in far off corners or awkward parts of the map instead of around key points of the map (like they should be), its some good pressure. Though it does make it much more unfair for people that don't know how to go against him or that just don't see him much.
I also really like Xeno, but half my tunnels just suck. Sadako and Xeno keep taking massive hits with more focus on encouraging survivors to interact with chests/chest offerings, and its really sad since its a simple issue to fix.

What's really hilarious is that it might nerf Pig.
Someone mentioned bringing loads of chest generating stuff on Singularity in order to send the EMP crates to Narnia, and Pig could do the same thing with her trap removal boxes.
If the spawn logic gets changed so the boxes get generated before chests, they could be placed at good or neutral locations for survivors, instead of the survivors needing to go to the four corners of the map to disarm their traps.

Most mods could realistically do is say something like "Passing it onto the team," or what not. I don't think its really their thing to have a back and forth with us. They're here to moderate. It'd be more of a CM thing to acknowledge the thread.
Plus Rizzo is pretty respectful (and helpful), they don't deserve the hate here lol.

This is pretty import to fix, especially with Springtrap coming out soon. I have other problems with Springtrap, but this is definitely something that I would need to see fixed/changed before I would consider buying him.

there are some killers I want to get into but I simply donโt just because of this chest issue. And now that survivors have the knowledge of using chest coins to mess up killer powers is just. It sucks design wise. Please behavior make killer power take 1st priority in chest spawns. So many matches where chests never even get opened lol.

Been a few days since I last checked on this post, and I come back to see that it's still being ignored by the community managers and game developers? Really? You might want to start addressing this before the FNAF chapter and anniversary event comes out with likely yet more chest-boosting offerings.

While I don't personally main any of these killers, I do play Sadako occasionally andโฆ why is this a thing? Survivors shouldn't be able to completely change the way a killer's power functions before the match has even started and in a way where a killer can't do much to stop them. What are they supposed to do, bring "Cut coin" every match just to be able to play? And if a dedicated team does this, that will by far not be enough. Please change this!

The sad part about the cut coin solution is that it doesn't actually resolve the issue especially during an anniversary event if it's anything like last year. You're going to be having everyone want to run with the new cakes which is very likely a chest with every one that a survivor brings. Once people understand that their coin offerings mess with Springtrap's power, you might even see up to +8 chests from any group that coordinates it out of frustration of playing against him so much (which will happen).
A cut coin will be easily overpowered by the amount of anniversary cakes and shiny coins that will come into play, and all the other killers that depend on their killer item placements are gonna catch flak from it all again. Just running with last year's cake myself is enough to see some odd TV placements. It's going to be crazy once this year's anniversary starts up and if chest offerings return baked with the cakes.

Also please add more chest spawns on the swamp maps because there the killer props spawn mostly in corners. For pig this is probably good but not for xeno, Sadakoโฆ
One question: Do you make all killer props prioritize over chests or only certain ones? Iโm asking this because for pig messing with chest spawns is an advantage and gives you an actual reason to use hoarder.

I agree with this being a huge issue.
Even though this only effects ~8 out of our roster of 40 killers, this brings up the following issues :
- One of the most (if not the most) anticipated new killers (The Animatronic) can have a core piece of his power nerfed at the survivors' whim, which could significantly worsen the wave of new players' experiences, making less stay in Dead by Daylight and enjoy the game for a longer period of time.
- Several high-pickrate killers (Notably The Onryo, The Singularity, and The Xenomorph) can have extremely important parts of their powers buffed/nerfed by absurd amounts due to the spawning of the things tied to them.
And arguably the biggest issue of all,
- The Pig
(I do say Pig is the biggest issue somewhat sarcastically, but her power is significantly increased in power if her boxes are spread far around the map. This means, with the right addons and scenarios can lead to survivors never having an opportunity to get their boxes off, even if they play absolutely perfectly. 0 counterplay = 0 fun.)0 -

This is a wonderful update!! Hopefully we open up the new patch to see that all of these killers have no further issues (fingers crossed), but everyone, please remember that if any issue spawns as a result of this, bring it on back into the forums so we can get some eyes on it.

In what world lmao. The only killers this affects with high pickrates is Wesker and Nemesis. Pig and Xeno aren't played all too often, but Sadako has a fairly low pickrate and Hux is one of the least played killers.

Two questions:
Do event items (e.g. blood stations or pile of snow) also have a lower priority than killer items with the next Patch? Currently, they have a higher priority than killer items but I don't know if they have the same as chests or lower but higher than killer items.
Are there any news about the Shroud of Separation offering? Many players gave their feedback and told you they are too strong. Are you going to tweak them too?

As a Person who loves to play Xeno, it always sucks seeing useless tunnels and especialy when people bring coins and my power is just deleted

Just wanna point out... that this issue happens to benefit Pig, as it pushes her boxes further apart and makes the time to reach them longer for survivors...
So if this gets changed... that's technically a Pig nerf ;๐ฝ;

It's more of a tradeoff. Yes they'll spawn closer together but they will also spawn closer to objectives making your patrol of gens and boxes basically the same

Have you tried Tampered Timer, Crate of Gears, Hoarder, Human Greed, Hex: Plaything, Hex: Face the Darkness, preferably with a Terrormisu offering?

Not really. If anything it makes pig stronger. Because if all the boxes end up being next to generators, then the pig can both be checking boxes AND generators at the same time. imo a fairly designed pig will have boxes that are not close to generators.
