Mauricio Sousa – The Healer of the Void

📜 Backstory:

Since he was young, Mauricio has always been different. Walking among shadows and silences, he did not fear what others avoided: old cemeteries, forgotten books, symbols scratched on mossy stones. Born in an isolated village, surrounded by mountains and legends, he learned to observe, listen and feel what could not be seen. His grandmother, the last ritualistic herbalist in the region, taught him that “not all pain needs medicine; some need a soul.”

Dressed in costumes that defied gender and tradition, Mauricio soon gained fame: he healed with roots, dreamed of the impossible and saw things no one else could. But he also heard calls. Voices whispered in the night winds. Visions in the vapors of the infusions he prepared.

One night of an eclipse, during a protection ritual for a missing friend, something different responded. It was not a spirit, nor a shadow — but an ancestral hunger, a presence so intense that it almost tore apart the reality around him. He understood: the Entity was there.

Instead of running away, Mauricio decided to face it. He used his salt circles, his enchantments, and all the knowledge passed down through generations to try to protect the village... But it cost him dearly. He wasn't killed. He was taken.

When he woke up, he was in a fragmented world, where time unravels and pain echoes. A kingdom dominated by the Entity, with victims being hunted by masked monsters.

But he wasn't afraid.

He was prepared.

🎭 Personality:

Calm, observant, and spiritual. Mauricio believes that there is light even in the swamps of suffering. He doesn't just seek to survive — he seeks to heal others, free souls, and — who knows — break the cycle of the Entity.

Cracked Stone Amulet: A handmade amulet with a broken symbol — it still emanates warmth in the hands of the living.

Infusion of the Three Veils: A small, darkened glass bottle containing a ritual tea to protect against “non-human eyes.”

Circle of Black Salt: A silver vessel where Mauricio keeps his last ritual tracing, used to expel entities.

You channel the life energy of nature to keep others alive.

When you fully heal an ally, you and they gain 10/12/14% speed on all actions (repair, heal, sabotage, opening) for 10 seconds.

After healing, you become invisible to the assassin's aura for 3 seconds.

🔥 Counter-Ritual

Your mastery of occult practices directly interferes with the Entity's plans.

You can sabotage hooks that are occupied or about to activate the second stage, without using a toolbox.

Cooldown: 80/70/60 seconds.

Successful sabotage reveals the assassin's aura for 4 seconds.

✨ Circle of Salt and Blood

When you fall, you leave a ritualistic trace of protection.

When you are knocked down, a sacred circle appears around you for 8 seconds.

Inside:

Survivors gain +50% healing speed and self-healing.

The killer has -5% movement speed.

Killers with teleportation or possession cannot use these abilities inside the circle.
