Springtrap is in desperate need of fixes
- He's invisible when coming out of doors
- His glitchtrap skin is pay to win, it's straight up much quieter than the regular version (how you guys let this happen in 2025 is beyond me)
- You can't even interact with his doors as a survivor because it will just break your audio entirely
And honestly the biggest problem with this killer after playing against him atp 20-30 games in a row, and playing a bunch of him… the door spawns are either just right, obscenely oppressive and a free hit, or they screw the springtrap over. The doors need to either be moved farther away from gens or he needs to come out slower, and the door spawns need to recognize map geometry. For example, on the alien map, the main gen that sits directly in the main building (around the big circular loop) the door, is quite literally 2 feet away. You can't PHYSICALLY get anywhere fast enough and it's just a free hit.
On the other hand you'll have a map like gideon where your doors can be spawned in a different room (still within whatever range they coded in) where you have to go all the way around to get to the gen they are on, because it's one of the sliding doors that gets powered by the gen.
So there's 3 levels to door spawns:
- Free hit, borderline unreactable distance by a gen.
- A good fair distance
- "Within range" but completely in a different room so you have to go around or on a different level entirely (2nd floor gen, but 1st floor door)
It would feel much better to play against him and as him if it wasn't based around door RNG causing unreactable hits or just being no where near the survivors. Though I will say, xeno got nerfed and this dude is a straight up better xeno in everyway. Faster TP, comes out of his TP faster (stepping out the door compared to stepping out of the tunnel), and a ranged projectile plus he's borderline permanently undetectable. And he doesn't even need to worry about turrets that completely take him out of his power.
I don't see why anyone would play xeno with springtrap in the game.

Don't worry there fixing it soon. They Kill Switched the go next prevention for now until they fix whats wrong with it. I'm only playing springtrap against Bots until he's fixed. Don't worry ur crys have been heard by the Devs

Springtrap has a huge frame rate issue and his hole character under performs so he needs buffs and some Stuff basekit like foxys Hook and throw recovery. He's fun to play just he under performs and is very buggy

Yea like you'll have something like this where like you're going to get hit guaranteed, there is no ifs ands or buts about it.
On the other hand, I don't know how the spawns work. I don't understand if they just pre-chose certain spots or if they have a certain area around the gen. Because it wouldn't shock me if in another haddonfield game, that door is just all the way downstairs and does nothing for the springtrap.
It's just so bad whatever spawn logic it's using right now.

I hate that spot so much. Tried to take the window vault, got a door prompt instead, instantly got grabbed and died because of it. It's right next to the Generator as well so you dont get much time to react if they come from there. Overall horrible placement.

I have never faced the Glitchtrap skin for Springtrap, and i am glad for that, because i don't want him hushing me 🤣 But every single time when he throws his axe into my back, i feel like i am going against Huntress.

The thing with the Xeno is very essential for the game, Springtrap is literally just better than him, the reason is- poor gamedesign, the devs just made another hybrid killer and now everyone complains about how strong he is, how unbalanced or weak but they should care at least about the gameplay of this killer. You see, if Springtrap will be nerfed, the Xeno will become better than him, or the Huntress. Hybrid killers are connected to their prototypes which can be highlighted if a hybrid gets nerfed, so now it is very difficult for the devs to balance Springtrap, to separate him from the Xeno and etc., so i inironically think that only a rework may help, to make Springtrap more unique and in the same time keep him strong, it will make the balancing a lot easier. At least there should be real reasons to use the doors by survivors, because the doors look basically like risky attractions for the survivors side, they may spot you with the cameras, may not, it doesn't help because the doors are basically next to the gens)) If you lose your undetectable effect it won't bother you, you just reset it with another teleport. More than that, it is always more profitable to just repair gens instead of checking Springtrap on cameras and considering the fact that cameras absolutely do nothing to Springtrap, using them looks even ruinic.
I think the power should be reworked in order to make using cameras ESSENTIAL for surviving, not just a fun activity (the Pinhead's box, the Pig's beartraps, Nemesis' vaccines are interactable by survivors as well but they NEED to interact with them to make the game easier for them, so what's the problem to make cameras in the same way?). Springtrap should rely more on stealth aspect, getting more buffs if he is undetectable, not just throwing an axe, it will make using cameras more reasonable and it will allow the doors be located farther from gens than it is for now. I guess if Springtrap becomes more unique, there will be a lot more option how to balance him in his way but now we can only hope for removing the bugs and nerfing him or buffing, i don't think the devs will use their 'creativity' to solve the root of the problem.0 -
Once again because vault is NOT its own key. PLEASE ALLOW KILLERS AND SURVIVORS TO UNBIND THAT KEY OR SEPERATE THEM!!!!

It's one thing to read this but playing it is SO MUCH WORSE, you'll be on a gen and have to be constantly watching the door that's probably 3m from you, but you can't just watch THAT door because there's tons of other doors relatively close he could also come out of getting twenty?! seconds of undetectable. So big whoop you just have to listen for his big giant stomps so you don't get grabbed off the gen, except oh yeah, for some reason this teleporting killer with an arguably better stealth power than ghostface has the ability to pressure you from a distance almost 2-3x nemesis can, god forbid they're using the glitchtrap skin, then you're really left at the mercy of this underbaked mess.
