Game changes for survivors
So, I still consider myself a new player as I've only been solidly playing DBD for about a year and a half now. I was just starting to get the hang of it and do decent... I'm no great player but I'm good enough. Anyway, I do NOT like these new changes at all and I can only imagine how a new player just learning would feel! Let me just name a few things,
- the New hook system, being forced to be kept in a sh***y match where there's slugging and camping, etc.
-speaking of camping.. anti-Camping bar is broken, seems like it's always just shown up when it wants
- no real counter to aura reading perks from the killers... they get to constantly know where you are whether it's aura, screaming, etc. and we can't even have 1 aura suppressing perk that is even temporary? Yeah yeah I know we get Off the Hook and Distortion but those are weak compared to what the killers can equip
- the DC penalty seems to be broken, I haven't even played in like 2 days and I DC'd from 1 match and I got 15 mins of a penalty!? Why?
- also the MMR isn't making sense right now. I've had like the most sweaty and wild killers but I've also had baby killers and that don't seem right to either side.
This is just my own thoughts but bring back OLD HADDONFIELD! The new one sucks.
These are just a few things that I've noticed and experienced and I think if I were brand new player, I don't think they would stick around for very long because it feels very much killer sided now. I know no one will care as I'm one person but I'm about ready to just leave the game behind. I loved this game because I love horror and it has all the horror icons in it and also I learned some skills and mindgames but idk... just not happy with it right now.

"the New hook system, being forced to be kept in a sh***y match where there's slugging and camping, etc."
You are not forced to stay in the match, you can just DC.

But you see the idea is wanting to leave a bad, doomed and unfun match, to go play a better match. Which you can't do if you DC, because you'll get slapped with a DC penalty. Because the devs apparently enjoy punishing their players instead of making their game functional.

Why should you have to eat a penalty because your sat on hook while teammates aren't doing anything and the killer thinks they've got money on the line if they dont win. If MMR was stricter then it wouldn't be so annoying. Also there are hackers to content with, I've had a game that was 30 minutes long because I couldn't leave, I couldn't be unhooked and I couldn't go next I was literally held hostage. There should be atleast 2 free DC's in a 24 hour window with the current state of the game.

If you don't enjoy the game beg the other side plays to win, odds are you are not going to like the next game. The DC penalty also serves to discourage DCing since a bot makes the game unfun for the remaining 4 players.
Hackers are rare enough that they shouldn't contribute to your DC penalty being highly unless you DC a bunch anyway.

Myself personally, I rarely ever DC ill always try and see a match out unless my team are literally doing NOTHING when I've run the killer for a good minute or two.

Wrong, I think you misunderstood: the idea of the new system is precisely to force you to stay (even if you then unhook your teammate and he sabotages the entire match because he feels like it). That's why we said that "forcing people to play" isn't going to help. Well, maybe it will help the killer, in the end he will win because there is someone sabotaging the survivors xD
