Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Genuinely, Playing Against Springtrap Is Unfun In Their Current State...

Listen, you are probably expecting some rant about how "Springtrap is overpowered" or something like that, but I wanted to talk about something else… the bugs and glitches. Dear god I have never seen a Killer release with this many bugs that are actively detrimental to the Survivor experience while not negatively impacting (and only benefiting) the Killer experience.

Just to point out a few bugs that make them really unfun…

Springtrap is invisible upon exiting a Security Door. While people will say "just look at the panel on the Security Door" this does not always work since Security Door spawns can obscure line of sight of the panel. The fact that the invisible lingers make it to where you are likely to just get hit with no recourse or counterplay, especially when their teleport has no cooldown whatsoever.

Springtrap retains all Haste effects after carrying a Survivor. This means that you can run perks like Agitation or Play With Your Food, and if you pick up a Survivor and drop them, you retain the Haste for an extended period of time. You easily abuse this, and Ive come across many people who do abuse, especially with the Haste add-ons that they come with.

The Axe Aura sometimes does not go away. This can lead to effectively permanent "wallhacks" where the Killer can easily see the location of the Survivor. Since the Axe is removed on the Survivor's end, they cannot use the Axe removal prompt, meaning the Axe Aura reading on them become permanent until another Axe is throw onto them. This one is a bit more rare to come across but it can completely change the outcome of a match.

Audio issues. There were issues with cameras where the directional audio would shift directions, and while this has been fixed (for the most part), there are still issues where getting grabbed in the Security Office can result in audio levels being decreased for certain audio. You could just raise you audio, but this bug only decreases certain audio but not all audio, which means you have a severe imbalance in audio.

And because Springtrap is popular (rightfully so), I have to deal with this every… single… game…
