Once you have signed in, on the right hand side you can use the "report bug" button to be able to fully report the bug you've encountered. Thank you.
DC penalty system malfunction
Two things I've just noticed which are bugged right now:
- Despite the new system put into place last major update (will put picture of patch notes below, for reference,) penalty points are not decreasing as they should.
I DC'd once just a bit ago, first time today. I've played at least a dozen matches today, and was playing yesterday too, and I do not recall ever DC'ing yesterday. My friend did once, but I did not.
This should've been well over 20 matches.
Yet when I DC'd it gave me the five-minute penalty, which I believe only triggers at around 3 penalty points? (1st being free, 2nd being 30s, 3rd being 5m.) - The second bug is that the timer for the penalty did not display OR start counting down until I attempted to click Play again, at which point it booted me from the queue and started the timer.
This is not how it used to be, nor was this mentioned or hinted at in any patch notes or related material, plus this would be (imo) a weird design choice since the timer is meant to be ticking down regardless, thus leading me to believe it's for sure a bug.

I am also not a fan of this new system, especially when the game is not really optimized and there are many bugs as usual, as I have already had two crashes after the new update. I am afraid that this system is now with us for a long time, as the devs do not like to touch the server side things, a good example is the poorly working abandon feature when your last teammate decided to ragequit (DC)/escape through the gate and you still can't abandon the match without a penalty (starts working after you are being hooked)

Update, the day after posting: Tested again. DC'd once, after playing several games again. Got a 15m penalty. Despite playing all these matches, the penalty is not decaying at all.

Anyone else getting grade loss as well? People are losing grades and getting matchmaking penalties for nothing. No crows, no dc, just penalties. Can't understand what is going on since the 18th, but it keeps happening.

Well they added new useless dc penalty that do more harm then good, baffles me when I see some "comp" players defends it and devs listen to them usually, sad to see where dbd is going, it was my main game but not anymore after fnaf🥹

I don't know why this has been marked as not a bug. What's been occurring doesn't match what the patch notes say… Can a dev please explain what I'm missing? :(

Well, they dont wanna give us some bps from grades because it's "super important" thing just like the new penalty system, anti go next, unlike annoying tons of bugs that game is filled with so many months😕

If it's not a bug, they need to give a clear and concise explanation of what they are actually intending. The patch notes and even the update do not explain what is actually happening in game. People defending what is happening have not read the notes or are just giving their opinions as if they were stated facts. The developers need to address this and just saying this is intended is not an explanation. The patch notes say something quite different as you quoted above. Also, it is happening to people who do not dc or go afk. The system is bugged regardless of what anyone says. No crows, no dc, yet flagged as inactive and losing a grade? This is actually happening! Definitely a bug in their code or else they are being deliberately dishonest in their patch notes.
