Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Dbd switch 2 upgrade

Hey everyone,

since the switch 2 got released and we dbd is still very outdated on it, I wanted to ask you guys if you could give us a switch 2 upgrade for dbd.
Here is what you could improve:

  • Performance: Framerate drops and long loading times have always been major issues on the current Switch. The Switch 2’s specs could finally give us 60fps and faster match loading.
  • Visuals: Compared to other platforms, Switch visuals are severely downgraded. A Switch 2 version should aim to get closer to the PS4/Xbox One quality at minimum.
  • Audio bugs & UI delays: These issues are specific to the Switch version and often make killer gameplay frustrating. A fresh port should address this.

Would be nice, ty:)

Switch 2 performance should be sufficient to support 120fps or VRR.

I read somewhere that they’re no plans to do a switch 2 patch. Don’t know where though. That’s actually sad since mouse controls would be a game changer

There's not currently any plans to do a specific upgrade for Switch 2 - the game runs the same as it does on the original Switch. We will of course take the feedback of the interest to the team, but this is not a guarantee that this will be in our plans.

There will be a lot of interest and it seems silly and financially not very smart to ignore the hottest console. It doesn't seem like it would be that difficult to either upgrade the switch version or port the PS5 or steam deck version.
