Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Make Springtrap Cameras worth using.

Make them reveal him 15% faster and increase the maximum camera detection range by 4 meters, increase the Aura reading by 2 seconds. But to compensate also burn through battery 30% faster so that teamwide Aura reading isn't available all the time.

I think it's such a cool mechanic and has a lot of potential to add some pretty crazy counterplay to Springtrap and also give him a bit of in built slowdown since it will be worth using, making him slightly less stealthy and also easier to mindgame as Survivor, but also causing Survivors to actually want to get off of gens sometimes.

Have you actually tried to reveal him?

90% of the time you can't even find him without getting lucky randomly flicking through cameras and looking around blindly at walls, listening for the audio cue... unless you have an aura perk active, and even then its difficult to get the right camera... it wastes so much time trying to find him.

Getting LoS is a pipedream almost every single time... I think I've only seen him directly with my own eyes for the full duration twice... once when he was entering a door, where revealing his aura does diddly squat, and the other when he was walked round to me on the door... for which I ate a hit, and would have been better just running.

Even though the suggestion in the OP is good, I'm still not convinced its a counterplay worth using compared to just doing gens. Giving it a LoS requirement makes it borderline unusable

Ah yes, perfect line of sight! For him to throw his axe at. Brilliant thinking.
