P100 Reward
I've been thinking about ways you can get rewarded for reaching P100 on your desired character and this was my favorite Idea so far.
It's quite simple, when you reach P100 on for example Cheryl, you can now apply the Bloody Cosmetics (that you get with Prestige 4, 5 and 6) that's normally on her usual Clothes, on all other cosmetics Cheryl has. Of course it works the same on Killers, and it also works on seperate Character Skins for example James Sunderland for Cheryl.
I think it's quite simple yet a different type of customization entirely, combining the already nice looking bloody cosmetics with other skins.
let me know what you think.

The bloody cosmetic isn't a call of duty style "camo" that can just be applied to any other cosmetic. It's an actual deliberately rendered skin and the quality shows. Look at the differences of characters and their bloody prestige outfit.
To do what you're suggesting would mean making incredibly low quality skins with graphical and lighting issues, or tons of work on the art team to make essential hundreds of free skins. Neither are likely.

I'd hope for a banner of the killer and possibly a badge.
Unique cosmetics would be the best one but also most unlikely because licensing fun, im sure freddy ain't go partake.
Would be a shame if it was just something like anniversary crowns or recoloured frosty eyes

It would be definetly nice to see some reward, so far we get only punished for it (anniversary event) :D

I didn't say it was just copy-pasted onto the other cosmetics, yes, it would be entirely made again essentially for the other cosmetics. I don't need copy paste slop, I obviously meant entire newly made bloody cosmetics in that sense. also the art team for BHVR is absolutely massive, I think it's not entirely unlikely for them to actually put time and effort into doing what I suggested. It's not like they only just said they are working on P100 rewards, it's been in the talks for a while.

To manage some expectations here, there is not going to be any new cosmetics for P100 rewards. We have to consider the time factor to produce outfits and also we want things available for all characters not just our original characters.

I see. I might not get any answer on this but, is there a sneak peak or a hint at whats coming for P100 rewards? if not, I entirely understand

Most likely badge or banner

that's disappointing, understandable, but disappointing…
Is It going to be iridiscent shards?

Yeah saw that coming but oh well, can't do what ya can't do.
I'm sure whatever you guys do will be good, I trust the team

But… Original characters already have access to thing unavailable to licensed characters?
People were asking for Wesker's white midnight outfit when he was released & that never happened because most licensed characters don't get essential recolors. If they do, it's because they're pseudo original like Ghostface or Beamar.
We're not expecting the moon and the stars, just like, iridescent recolors of the original characters default outfits? Maybe?
Recolors shouldn't be a sisyphean task considering the Rift is often full of them.
2 -
couldn't agree more, also if recolors requires so much time, why not deliver those in many different phases, divided in small groups?
3 -
Similarly to when they updated the in-game store to what we have now.
Dwight, Meg, Trapper, Wraith, etc. all had their auric exclusive cosmetics available for shards while people had to wait months for the update to hit characters like Feng & Legion.

It is expecting the moon and stars asking for any cosmetics. If bhvr starts making cosmetics of any kind as rewards, people will expect all characters to have the same type of reward. If characters aren't given equal rewards across the board, people will complain about it.
BHVR will have to streamline the reward type to every single character, original and licensed. Something that is very much impossible to do with cosmetics for all licensed characters, even that of recolors.
Edit: Ya'll can downvote me all you want, it doesn't change the fact that licensed characters makes giving all characters any kind of cosmetics as P100 rewards entirely impossible. You're all deluding yourselves if you think otherwise or think that it's some easy thing to just add.

Translation: we would rather make PAID cosmetics than reward LOYAL customers.

Recolors are easy as pie

Yea, recoloring the prestige outfit blue takes a lot of effort. Or give survivors levitating entity claws around their character, much like what the "Yui Fox" cosmetic has in form of a tail, or the anniversary crowns.
3 different types of levitating entity claws + a fourth version for Ash.

Here lies my hopes and dreams for Legacy Bill. :(

ah, but if they were paid 🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑

To manage some expectations here, if you could pay for the cosmetics we would do it, but since itd be free we cant dedicate some hours to photoshopping nemesis/plague/void effects on survivors
right, right, because something forever accessible is bad, but time gated cosmetics are still good for events! if its a banner/badge only yall fumbled this2 -
Except it doesn't.
Original characters will always have bigger catalogs than licensed ones, with or without prestige rewards.
-1 -
not at all, we still have the licenced problem…believe me, I wish things were as easy as you all seem to think it is.
-2 -
Yes it does, also original characters having a bigger catalog than licensed characters doesn't change my point.
BHVR cannot give cosmetics to all characters as P100 rewards, because licensed characters like Freddy & Pinhead are unable to get any type of cosmetics at all, something that Mandy's comments backs up. The only reason characters have bloody cosmetics to begin with, is because it's something that came with the characters initially.
So tell me, how in the world bhvr are gonna give reskins as a streamlined P100 reward for all characters? Because i'm telling you, they cannot. Likewise, they're certainly not gonna do it for original characters only either, because again, the reward has to be streamlined for all characters, otherwise people are gonna complain over the rewards being inequal.

I'm not saying the licensed characters should get recolors.
I'm saying that licensed characters merely existing shouldn't ruin the whimsy of planting your flag atop a metaphorical mountain.
- Original characters get the P100 recolors
- Licensed characters get a generic reward
As per the norm that BHVR has already established.
People who main these licensed characters don't complain about this disparity because it's expected. Everybody in the know already understands that licensed characters aren't going to get prestige related cosmetics.
This is what I've been saying the entire time, you'd know that if you read my posts instead of making assumptions.

Yeah? well guess what, people are still gonna complain over it regardless and you're kidding yourself for believing otherwise.
It's clear that bhvr have made up their mind on not wanting to do different rewards for different characters, you all might as well accept the situation as it is, because it's not gonna change.

I don't concern myself with complaints from people unfamiliar with DBD's landscape.
Neither should you.
BHVR definitely doesn't concern themselves with them.
What is this roadblock you keep putting up? Can you elaborate on what you think is going to happen if people on the Internet get disappointed by their own mistake?
Will the complaints reach a boiling point? What then?

More people in this community are unfamiliar with DBD's landscape and even if they are, there's still some that will complain over it regardless.
People in this community already complain over things big or small, realistic or unrealistic. Fact that people here are complaining about not getting some worthless cosmetics as a reward for a grind, that bhvr didn't even original want to encourage people to dedicate time and energy into, a grind that people will reach eventually anyway, but only changed stance because people would not shut up about it, is but an example.
People have already previously clogged up the forum and other social sites by spamming the same threads over and over again in the past, over something they were unhappy with. I don't want another annoying year long streak of non-stop complaints over a single issue again, like people did with Deathslinger's original ADS when it was still in the game, or when MMR was introduced.
I don't want P100 rewards in the first place, and i hope bhvr never changes the reward to be cosmetics, but i also know they always bend the knee if people complain hard and long enough.

I suppose you're right
Have a good day man

You too, sorry if i got heated on you.

I just want to say that this entire thing was merely a suggestion from me. I thought it would be cool, wrote about it and that's that. I didn't make this to strike anybodys nerve or set insanely unrealistic expectations for P100 rewards or from BHVR themselves.
I understand how much time, effort and resources it takes to make cosmetics, especially if it would be for ALL characters, licensed as well.
This post and the response from Mandy has made it to a lot of DBD news content creators because of the confirmation of no cosmetics as a P100 reward, which surprised me and I didn't think this would be the post to get that confirmation on the type of rewards we would get.
Nonetheless I'm excited for what we will get.
Thank you for the interactions and sorry if this somehow seemed unrealistic or ridiculous and caused some ruckus.
I just like bloody cosmetics. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)1 -
I do like your idea, and it is simple! But I also see the long time BHVR need to work on every skin into a bloody outfit. And those chances are very low, I'm afraid.
But I would love the bloody cosmetics. That the blood could be glowing red! That would be awesome! Since all has bloody cosmetics. Just need to rework them to glowing blood. I believe this is simple as well. Even though I wish we all could unlock a hard tome, and in the end get Legacy outfits for doing a hard tome quests.
