Lore:

The Void.

The fringes of sanity at which nobody sane can describe what lies within. A dimension outside of time and space. Friction and entropy, nay, movement itself, isn't even a concept. Hot and cold are one and the same, it's as close you can get to the edge of infinity, that is to say, the edge of non-existence. Yet in the infinite vast of everything and nothing lies the consciousness of the Void itself, a mindscape that accompanies the nothingness, a thoughtless yet thoughtful synaptic being capable of tugging on the very outside of our world.

Unable to truly pierce the veil of human psyche, The Void must rely on underhanded tactics to manifest in the material plane. Sending whispers in the wind, hearing someone call your name when they didn't, or feeling like you've experienced something before. Anything to contact humans and get them to submit to it, to bring humanity, the planets, and the stars under its whim. To expand itself beyond self containment, to go beyond infinity, and to be not just the concept of nothingness, but to be nothingness.

And it has its ticket. The Entity, The Realms, Trials, all of it! All of it is perfect! An endless slog of suffering and pleasure, short victories for some, crushing defeats for others. The perfect seesaw of joy and dismay. The perfect recipe for insanity. So The Void sent an Envoy, a fragment of the infinite vastness of nothingness, into The Entity. An overseer, an attempt for diplomacy, to send the truly forlorn Survivors into its domain, but if The Entity disagrees, The Envoy has been blessed with enough power to tear access of The Entity from the human realm too. Only time will tell.

Killer Perks:

All Comes To An End:

The Endgame Collapse ends 25% faster, if any Survivor is killed by any means during the Endgame Collapse, the timer resets.

Fuel For The Void:

If a Generator you damaged at least 30 seconds ago regresses down to 0% progress, gain 1 token, up to 8.

The next time you Sacrifice a Survivor, consume all tokens, and gain a 4% Haste effect for 8 seconds.

The Void Of Hope: If at least 3 Survivors are dead by any means, the Hatch is closed, and the last remaining Survivor is Injured, you see that Survivors aura for 20 seconds, gain 20% Haste, and the Hatch is blocked (Cannot be opened by a Key)

New Killer: The Envoy

3.8m/s, 48 meter Terror Radius, Medium

Power: Sanity Erasure

"…And The Void rose, to overtake all that had come before, has come, and will ever be - Ancient Prophecy by the Cult of Eternal Darkness."

Send Survivors Insane, avoiding the need for hooks. Insane enough Survivors might begin to peer into the Beyond, a secondary realm forced into the trial, much to the chagrin of The Entity. Survivors may find additional objectives and through the help of the Entity, may escape The Beyond, but not without significant risk.

Special Affliction: Insanity

Insanity is built up passively by being injured within The Envoys Terror Radius, staring directly at The Envoy while in chase, or attempting to interact from objects from The Beyond.

You may lower your Insanity by looking at The Envoy while not in chase, being Healthy outside of The Envoy's Terror Radius, or interacting with special items brought back from Beyond.

The Envoy may launch Manifestations of Void, which will increase the Insanity of Survivors not in The Beyond

When healthy, in the normal Realm, and at least 50% Insane, you are randomly given a difficult Skill Check, if you fail it, you become injured

Special Realm: The Beyond

A specialized Realm within the trial, a 1-X (X depends on internal map size) subspace of whichever realm the trial takes place in. The Envoy may access this place at will, but Survivors may be forced into it by their Insanity. The Beyond is a static map (no changing tiles, pallets, windows, etc.) but gets progressively harder to navigate the higher the Survivors Insanity.

Survivors may find 2 additional "objectives" within The Beyond, completing both will completely eradicate The Beyond for the rest of the Trail.

The Envoy may traverse The Beyond by Pressing and Holding the Active Ability Button. This will send them into The Beyond. While in The Beyond, The Envoy moves at 4.4 m/s, and is Undetectable to Survivors in and outside of The Beyond.

Also while in The Beyond, Manifestations Of Void will now injure and down survivors, but is not the only danger, as The Beyond has other foes within…

Special Ability: Manifestations Of Void

Pressing the Ability Button will begin to charge up a laser, made of pure nothingness, distorting and ripping spice, time, and sanity. Survivors not within The Beyond touched by the laser considerably increase their Insanity for the duration of contact. Survivors within The Beyond instantly take damage when coming in contact to the laser. When a Survivor is Injured by the laser in this manner, the movement speed bonus is considerably reduced.

Special Enemies:

Small Voidling: A small, tentacled, dog like creature that prowls around The Beyond. Survivors that come in contact with the Voidling will alert it. It will begin to bark loudly, making loud noises. (5.0m/s, 10 m detection, zone, easy to break LoS and end detection, loud noise every 10 seconds.)

Medium Voidling: A large (Nemesis sized) Aberration that lumbers around The Beyond, Survivors detected by the Voidling, may be injured by it if it gets to close, this Voidling will Periodically make loud noises. (4.2 m/s, 5 second normal attack cooldown, will attempt "looping". Loud noise notification every 20 seconds.)

Incomprehensible Void: A Void creature spanning the entire Beyond. If enough loud noises are made in The Beyond, or The Envoy chooses it for downed Survivors, the Survivor is immediately placed in Void Stasis in the regular Realm. (8 Loud noises per Survivor per entrance to The Beyond)

Void Stasis: Survivors in Void Stasis are counted as being Sacrificed on hook, but will not trigger any "on hook abilities." Survivors placed in Void Stasis are immediately cleansed on any Insanity they may have had, but are faced with continuous difficult Skill Checks, for each Skill Check missed, the unbound survivor suffers an increase in Insanity by 10%.

Additional Objectives: Survivors will find 2 additional objectives within The Beyond. Gathering parts of The Entity, and slotting them into The Alter Of The Entity, as well as collecting The Dagger Of Nothing. Placing all parts of the Entity within its alter, and then giving it the dagger, will permanently destroy The Beyond for the remainder of The Trial

Survivors see the aura of Entity Parts within 40/X meters, and see the aura of The Dagger Of Nothing within 32/X meters

Add-ons for Sanity Erasure:

Common:

Diary Of One Who Succumbed: Skill Checks of The Insane and in Void Stasis are easier. Insane Survivors in the Realm who fail, are injured, and taken to The Beyond instantaneously. Those who fail inside Void Stasis, suffer an additional 20% Insanity after being unhooked.

Void-Touched Branch: The aura of The Dagger Of Nothing cannot be detected by by an additional 4 meters, and the parts of the Entity by an additional 6 meters.

Broken Off Tentacle: Increase the detection range of the Small and Medium Voidlings by 4 meters.

Synapse Of Void: Insane will get inconsistent Skill Checks (25% delayed noise, 50% GREATLY delayed noise, 75% no noise, 100% Void Skill Check ((Won't fail for missing the area of the skill check, but the zone is smaller than a Great Skill Check)).

Uncommon:

Mushy Brain: Survivors Injured by Manifestations Of Void retain their movement speed bonus, but suffer 5% Hindered for 5 seconds after the bonus ends.

Fragment Of Reality: Survivors within The Beyond suffer from 3% Hindered while inside.

Voidlings are 10% slower, and make noise notifications 15% slower.

Void-Touched Petal: The Dagger Of Nothing cannot be detected by an additonal 6 meters and parts of the Entity cannot be seen by an additional 8 meters.

Squiggly Organic Matter: Voidlings move 80% slower, but always know where Survivors within The Beyond are, and will chase after the nearest Survivor.

Rare:

Space-Time Bubble: Increase charge time of Manifestations Of Void by 200%.

Manifestation Of Void can go through walls whilst not in The Beyond.

Void-Touched Stamen: Increase the duration of picking up The Dagger Of Nothing by 5%, The skill checks it inflicts are considerably faster. Decrease the skill check speed for picking up pieces of The Entity.

Very Large Tentacle: Decrease the amount of Loud Noise Notifications the Incomprehensible Void needs in order to put Survivors into Void Stasis by 1.

A Void Laser: Manifestation Of Void now increases Insanity immensely when coming into contact, but provides an on hit speed bonus.

Very Rare:

City Sized Eyeball: Decrease the amount of Loud Noise Notifications the Incomprehensible Void needs in order to put Survivors into Void Stasis by 2.

Void-Touched Bouquet: The Envoy now sees a transparent overlay of The Beyond while in The Realm. Survivors are not included in this overlay, but Voidlings are.

Manifestation Of Sanity: The Envoy moves at 3.8m/s while in The Beyond, and no longer is Undetectable for Survivors in The Beyond whilst there.

The sanity meter is cut in half.

Scribbling Of Mad Men: Skill Checks for the Insane no longer appear, but make repair skill checks significantly harder. Skill Checks for Survivors in Void Stasis also no longer appear, but upon being unhooked, the Survivor immediately gains 50% Insanity.

Visceral:

[Player Name]'s Favorite Flower: Every failed Skill Check when picking up The Dagger Of Nothing and installing parts of The Entity now count for double against the Incomprehensible Void, The auras of the pieces and the dagger can be seen map wide, even in The Realm.

Iridescent Mindscape: The Envoy now sees a transparent window under their feet corresponding to their approximate location in The Realm, while in The Beyond

(This power is EXTREMELY convoluted, and I'm also really really tired at time of writing, if you have questions, I'd be happy to answer)
