Custom Icons, Steam Workshop potential update
We all already know Custom Icons exist, Changing the Perk Icons, Character Portraits, Even the Items, Wouldn't it be nice if we got a Steam Workshop update to legalize it?
Then it'd all be built into Steam, It'd be more accessible to be a fun, Cosmetic only thing without needing to install a third party to do it for us
And while i don't entirely understand how the anti cheat works, yes i know no ones actually gotten flagged for changing icons so far as we are aware, it'd still cure my crippling anti cheat paranoia about changing those Cosmetic Only files because it'd be an official DBD / Steam thing XD

If you allow changing of cosmetics or textures, you allow for cheating of the same.
I'm old enough to remember the times Survivors changed Trapper's trap's color to white. This is why we have anti-cheat today and have strict texture rules.

Its Strictly Cosmetic. NO CHARACTERS SKINS are changing,
Its literally Just The Perk Icons, The character Portraits in the menu, The items you have equipped in your GUI, Just look at any number of Youtube or Twitch people playing with their perk icons colored in, The many, Many packs on the Nightlight website for DBD That Already Exist and cause no issues, i just dont want to deal with needing to install a annoying third party.
its only cosmetic, No Character Skins. Like these0 -
Sounds like those using Epic or Windows or any of the consoles could not use this if added. So like 80% of the playerbase couldn't.

so exactly like the present? I mean DBD could Probably make a built in icon download if they wanted to, BG3 did it for their entire mod community, but the Steam version sounds easier for someone to actually do

My point is you're asking them to put time and resources into something that 4 out of 5 players of DBD couldn't even use.

not gonna lie, i have absolutely no idea how hard it is to set up steams workshop XD
Id prefer it to be built into the game itself, But personally it just feels even less likely for DBD to do it then.
Needing to build the system themselves rather then using the already existing one0
